Shows in which parts of the natural world such as its landscapes, flora and fauna and the people who live harmoniously alongside it are portrayed with a particular focus and reverence. Sometimes you're feeling down or just need something calming and healing after a tiring day or a tear-jerking drama. This list has the must-watch slice of life animes great for healing or just beautiful life lessons. 癒し系 (lit: "healing") is a sub-genre of the slice of life series. according to paul roquet in '"Ambient Literature and the Aesthetics of Calm: Mood Regulation in Contemporary Japanese Fiction". The Journal of Japanese Studies.', the term was coined in the 1970s, but only became big in the mid 1990s after the region experienced both a natural disaster and terrorist attack in a 3 month span. |
