Anisata (アニサタ) was a late night anime programming block on Saturdays aired on TV Asahi from April 3, 2016 to September 2020. It has been now rebranded under the name ANiMAZiNG2!!!. Anime you can only find (or used to only find) on Amazon, I'm going to add anime you could technically watch on HIDIVE (because Sentai has the licenses, they get to share some series). Note that I'm not adding shows which could be considered "old" because they weren't released as amazon-only initially, so no Gamba or Takarajima. Also no 'Ishida to Asakura', you can't fool us with that 2021 date Amazon, it came out in 2013. Not adding shows which are on other streaming platforms in the West (If I were to consider them I'd add a note), so no Asia streams or programming in other regions. Of course, if I get something wrong put it in the comments, this is to keep track of anime on Amazon but don't expect this to be the most "official" list because of expected region differences. Note also that some can be found on Funimation but due to Crunchyroll's merge I'm still unsure about adding them, I mostly get the streaming info from LiveChart although I've noticed it also misses some streams like 'Unbreakable Machine Doll' or the new 'Initial D Legend' movies which are available with Prime. As a side note, Amazon owns the right to many sequels but either has the original on Prime (But I consider other streaming platforms so no 'Psycho-Pass 1') or under a paywall. Anime series that take place inside a virtual game world, often by playing a virtual reality game (VRMMO) with other players, or by being transported into a new world with videogame rules, RPG stats, levels and other game-like elements. this is the list of my favorites isekai... feel free to suggest some others isekai if I'm missing out... this list groups animes with most similarities together... A revenge. A vengeance. A vendetta. A retribution... This is a part of a series of stacks that are about artistic tendencies in anime (and that border the fine line between sophisticated and pretentious). "When it's time for business, get the hell out of my way. If it means creating a path filled with blood and death, so be it." Humans are complex creatures, unpredictable animals despite how civilised they may be. Here's a list that presents how environments around us can influence a person to release its natural instincts that lay dormant inside. While many of the best anime series are based on popular manga, some of them are entirely original. Believe it or not, some of the best anime have nothing to do with manga at all, and some even got a manga adaptation after they were aired or while they were in production. Compiled here are non-manga-based anime that you need to add to your watchlist as soon as possible. Some of them are classics that you might have watched and re-watched many times before, while others are a bit more unknown. Some of maaaany taking place in a city. But these are just some that made me "notice" the city itself more than others etc. The ones that might make you think "damn that's a nice/big city" or something You won't need to read the manga/novel or wait for a second season. This inhumanly derivative, formulaic, escapist, consumerist and incestuous genre is one of my guilty pleasures, and in my journey through it I have found some good stuff. Here are shows which either execute the classic isekai tropes well and simply have quality, or shows that may not be the best, but which at least have an interesting execution of the isekai concept that subverts expectations or at least isn't so derivative, generic or mediocre as others. This is a weird concept for a list, but I think it's worth putting it out there. These are anime which I consider help understand anime better because of their referential humour, commentary on otaku culture (whether it's anime or gaming), exploration of the industry and twisting of classic tropes in self-aware ways that put them in perspective. Also included a couple shows which are not necessarily meta or referential, but they are here for being aggresively "anime" in nature, if that makes sense. With how over the top they are and/or how stereotypically otaku their concepts are, I think they give a good idea of how anime has developed. In this list, I tried to collect as many shows as possible that are dedicated to the deconstruction of certain genres, plot themes or various characters. Therefore, there are both tragedies like Madoka and Eva, and parodies like KonoSuba or Kaguya. Here you will find isekais that break the cliche that they always have, completely changing the isekai world in addition to being entertaining and to pass the time |
