MyAnimeList
Films that were nominated for the Best Animation of the Year prize given by the Japan Academy Film Prize Association, first awarded in 2007. All five nominees are awarded the Excellent Animation of the Year (優秀アニメーション作品) by the association. This list contains all movies that aren't related with any anime series. Cottegecore stories harken back to simpler times and a simpler way of living. Many stories center on the idea of a simple life of self-sufficiency in harmony with nature, or characters having adventures in a pretty cottegecore environment. Cottegecore is often influenced by the romanticization of the European countryside in historical times, but may also take place in the woods, mountains, or other rustic locations in any time period. Aesthetics often include rural landscapes, cottages, and other dwellings surrounded by flowers and nature, boys in overalls and girls in old-fashioned dresses, lush forests, and low-tech items and furniture from olden times. These anime feature witches; magic users who often possess classic traits such as pointed hats, flying brooms, and black cat familiars. Some are protagonists looking to improve their craft, have adventures, or save the world; others might be tricksters or outright villains who cause suffering and misfortune for others. Young witches might study magic by serving an apprenticeship or attending a magic school. Basically, if you want anime with witches, this is the list for you. Anime that are not pet-centered shows, but have a cute cat mascot. These kitties are usually the main character's pet or magical familiar. Everyone knows Studio Ghibli's amazing work, but what about the other studios? Collection of films and OVAs (and one TV series) that "feel" like Ghibli films, but aren't related to the studio and aren't connected to its canon lineup. Factors considered include story beats and character designs that are often seen in Ghibli works as well as works by Ghibli staff completed for other studios. A selection of 21st-century anime based on source material that pre-dates it by at least twenty years. This includes old-school manga, novels, and video games. Great for those who love retro media ad enjoy seeing classic content dusted off and revived for a new generation of fans to enjoy. Exhausted Studio Ghibli's filmography but want more? These anime have a visual presentation evocative of your favorite Ghibli films, but aren't made by Ghibli themselves. //List of shows that (to my knowledge) have an italian dub ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ This is a list of non-Ghibli standalone movies - meaning they are not associated with a TV series No dubs with imitation American accents are included, only proper Bri'ish voices. GKIDS is an American film distributor based in New York with, according to the Los Angeles Times, a focus on "sophisticated, indie" animation. GKIDS releases critically acclaimed mostly hand-drawn, international films—such as the works of the independent Japanese anime studio Studio Ghibli—to North American audiences. GKIDS also distributes computer animated and stop-motion films in addition to hand-drawn ones, as well as American films by independent filmmakers. The name is said to be an acronym for "Guerrilla Kids International Distribution Syndicate". |
