New Interest Stack
Interest StacksThis is a stack with anime that take place in different European countries, either completely or in several episodes when characters are traveling to these countries. Essential anime for maid enthusiasts. All of your butler and maid needs met in one place! Shows/Movies of all kinds that are either meant for or can be enjoyed by an older audience. A treasure trove of excellence covering a wide range. Story-driven thrillers, well researched historical shows, brilliant world-constructions, poetic narrations, gripping thrillers, dark comedies, complex future visions, tightly packed action, avant-garde art, solid entertainment, tear-jerking dramas to light-hearted slices of lives. The romance as a genre in it's typical sense, is a hit or miss for most of us, and this is understandable. Each of us has different outlook on life, our experience had shaped our personalities by particular ways and the way we comprehend the fragile and gentle feelings of affection within ourselves is something very personal. As far as I'm concerned there's an anime about pretty much everything if you look hard enough: diving, underwear design, insurance investigation (yup!) and don't even get me started on cooking. So there, picked titles with main characters directly involved and at least some focus on whatever they're doing for a living or a hobby or both. This is stack of predominantly non-comedic, Slice of Life anime. These anime are not entirely devoid of comedic elements, but comedy features rather sparsely and isn't a key plot-device. Some of the anime featured here uses the opportunity to deal with and provides an insight into complex subject matters, ranging from Depression to Gender-identity, in a realistic and humane way. Collection of historical semi-realistic or realistic works that detail the historical events relating to The Commonwealth or daily life of people in historical context relating to The Commonwealth. Who doesn't want a strong lead, and a female one at that? I mean, people stereotype A LOT in this day and age, so who doesn't want this type of unique character once in a while? Note: I tried to avoid shoujo romances as they are seen as common tropes, although there are some that I thought were personally good on the list. Anime that have a female main character that is strong. This can include: strong willed, an intellectual, physically strong, magically adept or a mix of those traits. Most of the time they are portrayed as mature and respectful. The criteria here is simple: Anime released in any year, with under 160,000 MAL Members, and which I've rated a 7 or higher. |
