New Interest Stack
Interest StacksWould the world have been a better place if religion doesn't exist? What right does religion have to decide what's good and bad? Are they really the guide to life? Classic mystery whodunnits or police detectives solving cases involving murder, theft, etc. with a limited number of suspects. Mostly episodic rather than a full series with only one plot/case. Some listings with supernatural elements but only if it fits the 'detective' part of it. An assorted stack of anime series with some talented detectives and mind-boggling mysteries to uncover. Highly recommended for fans who love to put on a thinking cap and wrap their head around, trying to unravel secrets alongside the protagonists. A selection of shows that centralizes on the idea of evil, whether as a direct presence or a symbolic representation, that revels in themes of hostility, corruption, debauchery and death that ultimately, cause the grievous and tragic collapse of one's sense of humanity. Due to its dark nature, this list is unfiltered and therefore, may display lurid elements that are problematic. 'Buddy cop is a genre with plots involving two people of very different and conflicting personalities who are forced to work together to solve a crime and/or defeat criminals, sometimes learning from each other in the process' - wikipedia This stack is intended for anime that are dedicated to people of various common (and not so) professions and areas of work. Of course, mostly realistic and everyday animes, with a few exceptions. I've made it my goal to choose shows that are pretty relatable and informative, so if said anime has fantastical or obviously unrealistic elements, I'll mention it in parentheses up front. Depictions of catholicism (christianity) in anime through clergy characters, symbols, locations, etc. All genres/demographics. - Christian elements, themes, and/or symbolism play some type of role in the plot or in the characterizations of these anime. Tropes are common denominators. Their viewers recognize them, laugh at them or groan at them, but most of us can guess where they're coming from—specifically, what cultural values are embodied in the trope. |
