Seikatsu Shidou!! Anime Edition

Rate of 7. Was going to give a 5 but I will settle on a 7 because of the ending of the show.

Genres in my eyes: Slight romantic border-line of horror (depends if you are kind hearted), mainly it would be drama for me because a lot of mixed feelings come into play and more than one story unfolds.

What a despicable anime! Some might say this is love but this is blind love in the bad sense. A teacher whose only actual difference from others is his acting of his perverted desired.

Things I guess you could say were pros depending on ... one p.o.v.

Art: Cuteness factor wonderful job. An interesting job with camera portrayal. An example would be the spinning scene. No worries it is not long just a brief moment. You can put down the barf bag.

The major one being the eyes of the main male character were absent. Which is symbolically accurate in life. Young girls have yet to see true evil in the world in general. Leaving them to be unaware to what to see. Had they known… they would see the darkness that dwindles in the eye that resides in one’s soul.

Censorship was not view obstruction but blurring so not that horrible.

Artist(s) involved or writer finishes per say where they left off in terms of episode 1 vs 2.

Things that pissed me off

Don’t get me wrong I get what the cover artist was going for. He or she wanted to paint the popular you are the only one for me but is that fair to the audience. This was a creative tactic that did not piss me off. Yet, my time is scarce. That said in mind I fall in the judge by cover category. If you looked at the cover would you know that other girls would be staring? You would not. You might hope but you would not know for fact and that kind of pisses me off. Cover art sells what you are showing. So why not create a more essay picture. I say essay picture going off the picture is worth a thousand words ideas. However, the difference being is an essay picture would have a perceived intro, body and conclusion. Whether that is true or not can vary but that is much better than providing a still image from one of the episodes.

The song in episode 2! Why god!? I have no idea why they used it. I won’t ruin it but it is a well know go to sleep song. Was the writer trying to go for the concept of let that inner log thought hibernate and not surface?

The sleaze that seemed to dribble down the cheek of the mail main character. Going with the popular play with me for I have the sole key to your troubles. A very popular unfortunate pedophilia ideal.

Hypocritical moments. One scene mentions a girl has a fear of men. Before the main male character says his quote the girl says no to his upcoming actions. “I’m just here to help. ‘I’ just want to’ help you’ overcome ‘your’ fear of men.” The scene is in regards to sexual intercourse. You may have noticed I hinted at certain elements of that quote. The point shows that there is no selfless action being performed. It is truly a selfish one.

Sekatsu Shidou!! Anime Edition is a poor adaptation of Uran's original doujin, the premise is the same as the doujin about a sensei taking advantage of his underaged students sexually with him eventually being caught by the headmistress in the end, while the art of this ova looks fine in a still frame and matches close enough to Uran's original illustrations it has little action animation and hardly any movement, reminiscent of a motion comic. The score mostly consists of basic uninteresting piano compositions which are rather unfitting and not much else with exception of the song played during the end credits which is ... catchy and fun. Just about the only worthwhile is being able to hears the voices of the students during the sex scenes obviously not possibly before. I don't really recommended this ova to anyone looking to see a decent lolicon ero-anime, you won't find it here, you are better off reading the original doujin. It should be noted that the original Seikatsu Shidou doujin's final volumes have not been translated into English, so if you have not read the doujin in its original Japanese version the only new content you would see is the second half of the second episode, currently the only way to see this part in English, aside from that and the ending credits song's It's not recommended. 5/10 Mediocre

Update: It has come to my attention that this series' info on MAL has been updated since my review, seeing as the page now says it is based off of a doujin and is longer than 1 episode, my review is outdated

Story: 5/10

I can't say much for the Story as this is based off a VN, but only 1 episode, and like 11mins long minus the end song. I can't give this a fair score since there is not enough to work with, which is why I did a 5/10. Seeing as there was not really time for anything but H-scenes, I would give it ... a 0/10, but I know nothing of its base Material and find it unfair to unnecessarily hurt the original works reputation.

Art: 5/10

This is easier to judge than the Story. So as for art. It was pretty bland, not bad per se. Also seems like this was pretty low-budget and/or they had mediocre at best artists. I'm guessing low budget because how short it was.

Sound: 3/10
Can't say much. If you are looking for an even decent OST, you will never find one in Hentai, especially one that seems so low-budget like this. I get that this is for Site wide ratings, but seems pointless for hentai.

Character: 1/10
I literally Just finished before Writing this, and I can't for the life of me remember anyone's name. There was no time to develop on any characters. I only remember one was gullible enough to believe MC wold marry her. One was Blonde, the other was a Tsundere. There was a random 4th girl at the end but learned nothing about her.

Enjoyment: 4/10

Did not orgasm, but it wasn't too bad. Might have been because it was too short, thus taking away some enjoyment.

Overall: 5/10

It's pretty Bland. If it was longer, or heck was scheduled for a second ep, it might be higher rated on each. I mean watch it if you want, just don't be surprised if it feels like a waste time.
