Marmalade Boy

slice of life, romance. similar plot, though more consistent. 

I recommend both animes to watch. They have similar plot lines where a girl and a boy lives together because of family problems. In both animes, the relationship between the main characters develops and as they grow older they accounter many situations that cause problems within their relationship. But I think that Marmalade boy has more love trangle relationships and has a bit more drama than Itazura na kiss.  

These are both about two teens that cant stand eachother moving in together (because of their parents!) And learning how to cope with eachother 

both couples live togethe, but marmalade boy its a little bit different because of their parents situation where as itazura na kiss the parents tried to hook them up. i RECOMMEND BOTH ANIMES! 

in both, a girl moves in with a guy and they fall in love which leads to many relationnship problems. Comedy relief also 

A childish girl moves into the same house as a boy who acts very cold and mean to her. Somehow, their relationship develops into love.  

Both main characters must live with a handsome boy they end up falling in love with. Must see! 

Both are where the girl moves in with the boy for different circumstances. They're both more girl after the guy to start out. The male leads are similar cold, smart, good looking guys. Marmalade has alot of jealously and opposite gender getting in the way than na kiss. Both well developed compared to your typical shoujo anime nowadays. 

(Sorry, this is my first time writing a recommendation so please don't expect it to be great!) In both series, the two main characters live under the same roof under certain circumstances and suddenly go to the same school. Both male leads share the same characteristics, meaning: Tall, handsome, smart, and like to tease the female lead. Same goes for the female leads as they share their specialties. In Marmalade Boy, the two main characters are thrown upon many love triangles along the way, making it difficult to build up their relationship. As for Itazura na Kiss, I suppose the same idea revolves around heartbreak and jealousy.  

While not as gritty (or dare I say as deep) as Hana Yori Dango, Marmalade Boy has a lot of the same elements of love triangles and the trials and tribulations of youth - the female leads in both also have some strong similarities - if you enjoyed one, you will likely enjoy the other.  

Both have plenty of drama and love triangles, so you are always entertained.They are both very enjoyable to watch and they were both made in the 90's so try to get pass that.^^ 

If you want a REAL soap opera style romance anime these are it. No BS super powers or other lame shit. Just straight up real romance. 10/10 - Would recommend! 

Both anime give similar vibes. Both girls were brave and wants love by their boyfriend. They were in a love triangle. 

Both old school romance with bad animation and sound. But get past that you have really great romance series with more episodes than you're typical anime nowadays.. So there's lots of time for good development and real deal romance. Lots of drama, love triangles, opposite gender getting in the way of the leads so lots of jealously in them aswell. 

-Both have love triangles. -Female lead falls for a cool popular guy theme. -Both have a similar feel in terms of animation and sound -Both are a little predictable at times but are gems of shoujo genre anyway. 

They are both in the same genre.They both have similar plots.Kodomo no Omocha is your love problems and uncertainly when your a kid.Marmalade boy plot is similar because of uncertainties and love problems but the main characters are a bit older and mature.They both have happy endings too despite of all the difficulties.  

Akito = Yuu; the love story is very similar and the style and the animation and the type of argument. 

well the characters look the same sana is miki and akito is yuu. I think that kodocha(Kodomo no omocha) is way better than marmalde boy. So far i think that kodocha is the best anime i've seen so far.  

The plots of these two anime are waay different (but I think that's a good thing, you don't want to watch the same anime twice) and the only noticeable similarity is the hair color of the two main characters (romantic interests). But what I think you'll later find is that both of these anime give very mature situations to the characters. In Kodomo no Omocha, the characters are in Elementary School through Middle School yet they're given some problems that you wouldn't expect children their age to be able to get through. In Marmalade Boy, although they're in high school, they still get some pretty intense situations. One thing I definitely know is that I watched Kodomo no Omocha right after I watched Marmalade Boy and it was one of my best decisions because they are both two of my favorites.  read more 

Marmalade Boy is big on love triangles, just like Peach Girl. The romance and love triangle craziness is a love heavier in M.B. but both revolve around tangled love interests. 

It is a shoujo, romance, comedy, loads of misunderstanding, soap opera-ish >.<, girly, love triangles. If you like Peach Girl you should Like Marmalade Boy. 

Both are: * Drama/romance with lots of funny moments * Old anime * Long (50 eps and more) Even though the artwork in Gokinjo Monogatari is different and kind of unusual, but they have similar atmosphere and feeling
