Interest Stacks This is a part of a series of stacks that are about artistic tendencies in anime (and that border the fine line between sophisticated and pretentious).   Thrown together for personal reference; does not include shows that I cannot vet the content of due to having no experience watching, and the quality of shows listed is irrelevant.   List of animes that predicted the future.   Open endings, strange and disturbing.   Here's a bunch of goodies lacking love, many of which are obscure, others just underappreciated. Almost all of them lean more towards being lighthearted, cute and silly. (Not necessarily all at once.) Lots of adventure, too! Keep in mind that they're not all "must-see", but this should still be a great source for finding something new and enjoyable.   Anime adaptions of Weekly Shonen Jump manga   Most of the shows here don't have trans experiences or even lgbt ones at their core, they will probably feature some well represented trans character.   A gender-oriented story which revolves around the lead protagonist tends to transform into their opposite gender by some supernatural phenomena or simply cross-dressing.     Remakes are allowed, but things like Sequels (With exceptions), Pilots or Filler Movies aren't   SPOILER WARNING, speaks for itself  Anime that feature transgender (trans girls, trans boys, non-binary, and/or intersex) characters.   LGBTQ+ characters outside of boy's love or girl's love anime. I know there are more (Sailor Moon, Banana Fish, etc.), but I was just pulling from shows I've watched. I tried to avoid headcanons. Whether they're doing it for love, debt, family, work, or any other reason, all these main characters have their reasons for crossdressing. Don't judge them too harshly. |
