first the basic summary, touken ranbu time period is on 2205 A.D. The historical swords were "reborn" as humans and they went into the past to defeat History Retrograde Army to protect the history

now touken ranbu has more than 100 swords or characters

touken ranbu is an original game by DMM that was released on 2015, now they already have
- web browser and pocket ver game [already in english]
- anime,
- manga,
- stage play [2016 - present],
- musical [2016 - present],
- live action [2019], and
- consoled game for PC and Nintendo Switch

Anime adaptations of various gacha games, that is, basically mobile games of various genres (mostly musical or associated with moe anthropomorphism), where you play to earn points that can be spent on getting limited attractive characters (or cards with them) in a virtual analogue of a vending machine. Popularly, these anime are also often referred to as waifu or hasubendo bait shows due to the large number of attractive characters that the adaptation advertises to entice you to download the game.

This stack is for shoujo, josei or any other female-targeted show with a male protagonist. In case this stack is of interest to any of the guys, I tried to select shows with a non-objectified image of the guys first. But anyway, this stack is meant for any audience, so I didn't rule out fanservice shows or BL. Also, some shows, especially idols, usually have a formal female protagonist, but since most of the focus is on the male characters anyway, I took the liberty of listing some of them too.
