Gin no Guardian

-both take place in a virtual reality game -SAO is for those who like an engaging drama because whoever dies in the game also dies in real life. There is a bit of romance but it is not the main focus. If you like good fights, romance, protagonist overpower SAO is an anime that you must watch. In fact, anyone who has played MMORPG will love this anime. -GNG has a similar storyline to SAO and I would even say that the main protagonist is better than SAO's but the story is focused on rescuing a girl (like Mario and Peach). Still, interesting for those who like this style of anime. In GNG there is an element of mystery that makes you want to follow through and less romance than SAO. read more

Both involve players playing Multiplayer RPG kind of games where they are uber powerful. In one game he is sacked from that game and must start anew and the other the game ends and he must start a new game. Both focus a lot on the player's "real" life...
