In Japan, foxes say "konkon" and play an important role in folklore. Supernatural foxes may live with humans.
The titles listed here have their focus on humans living their daily lives together with supernatural foxes.

Anime either based on, heavily influenced by or drawing key aspects from folklore. Folklore encompasses the traditional beliefs, customs, and stories of a community, people or culture passed down through the generations by word of mouth and later often recorded in written form.

While the majority of works listed in this club have their origins in East Asian folklore (for obvious reasons) also included are examples of folklore ranging from portrayals of the mythology of Ancient Greece, stories featuring local spirits, legendary folk heroes, adaptions of Brothers Grimm fairy tales and narratives featuring the Gods of the Norse pantheon as characters. Modernised interpretations and retellings have been largely excluded.

As MAL currently sadly only allows a max of 50 entries on interests stacks this list prioritises the stand out and most high quality examples of folkloric anime. For a more comprehensive list which also includes manga, I direct you to my accompanying folklore club of the same name.

Anime with yōkai⁠—spirits from the Shinto religion and/or Japanese folklore. Popular types include kitsune (fox spirits), shape-shifting tanuki (raccoon dogs), kappa (river monsters), and oni (ogre-like demons).

Anime with lots of cute boys mostly excluding the sports, yaoi, romance or harem genre. Just cute boys doing stuff.

A list of anime with protagonist's that can see and interact with supernatural entities and spirits, whether that be temporarily or permanently.

All these anime's include very shippable characters who mostly have no other person in the anime you could possibly ship them with. This is a marketing ploy because this makes anime/ships very popular as well as being apart of the lgbtqia+ community is not openly embraced by any Asian media. A lot of these anime's has novels, manga chps, side manga, official art, and drama cds that are very suggestive or downright very gay. They have all have very suggestive scenes in the animes as well including op, ed, end credits that are very fruity.

Animes good-spirited , Anime to watch and be happy, nothing too dramatic, no mysteries to be aware of, just sit back and watch and have a satisfied smile on your face.

Sometimes we need a little break from all the screaming and ambitious fighting so that our taste-buds get a chance to reprogram themselves. And for that we need anime which are more or less episodic, follows a simple yet interesting story. The story should be having more than one basic elements so that despite being slow and plot oriented and without any adrenaline rush, we mustn't feel bored. For the ones who like to keep it simple and try staying away from the unwanted and unnecessary vocal exercises, a haunting calmness is what's required.
