Sakamoto desu ga?

A really fun and unique comedy, with a protagonist who's just the coolest.

Story 6/10.
There isn't much of a story to the series apart from the comedic situations.

Enjoyment 8.5/10
Sakamoto's actions are just absurd most of the time, there's no chance to predict what he'll do next, so even if the comedy isn't always the best, it's still really fun to watch. Absurdity also makes for great comedy and brings about genuine laughs.

Art 7/10
Average art with slightly lacking animation, but comedy series don't always need the best animation to work, just look at Gokushufudou.

The Characters just work, but Sakamoto is the only memorable one.

Good Sound. Sakamoto's theme is good and the opening is excellent, otherwise average sound.

Just a fun series. Though comedy is always subjective.

Animation and Artstyle:
+ Motion (Ok): Mostly Static; Decent enough animation for SoL, great animation for comedy category.
++ Environment (Good): Good backdrops, good setting design.
... + Style (Ok): Some comedic scenes does not work well with "exquisite" theming.

Characters:
+ Design (Ok): Generic student designs, not much distinct compared to other SoL animes; MC is just handsome, nothing else.
- Characteristic (Meh): Generic student tropes and quirks; MC is cringey but interesting.
+ Voice Acting (Ok): MC has soothing voice (Kinda wish to be like him).
- Memorability (Meh): Female characters are so forgettable, so does the MC's "friends"; MC is a bit ok might remember him as the guy who does not give a flying f.

Story:
+ Premise (Ok): Cool vs bullies; Chad vs betas; Bow down before the king.
+ Plot (Ok): No high stakes, just your weekly chad winning everytime. Jokes are either hit or miss.
+ Pacing (Ok): Mixed; Sometimes fast and many things happened.
- Theme (Meh): Nothing deep; shallow comedy; Sometimes exquisite theming does not bode well to comedy. The millionaire detective anime had better execution. Spy x Family, though, is an exception.

OST
- OP (Meh): Rock n' Roll music for the most exquisite man ever? Nah...

- ED (Meh): Eh... didn't cared much

Quality of Life
+ Enjoyability (Ok): Kinda enjoy some moments; some scenes that I cringed.
-- Replayability (Bad): Sorry but jokes got old fast. Cannot replay this without being surprised or laugh again.

Sakamoto Desu ga? has its moments, but not enough to be a truly great comedy

Every episode has at least one or two jokes that are genuinely pretty funny, but the humour the show keeps constantly using gets dried out quickly after the first episode; The absurd situations can get you real good the first couple of times, but it gets boring from episode 2 forward. It lacks variety. Like, REALLY lacks variety.

A better alternative which I feel like has a similar sort of humour and overall style is Saiki Kusuo No Psi-Nan/The Disastruous Life of Saiki K, it's a show with absurd humour too but ... doesn't rely in one sort of joke through most of it's run like Sakamoto does.

I may sound harsh, but don't think the show is really horrible or anything, just a bit of a drag. My biggest issue really is that it just overstays its welcome, I do believe there could be a bunch of people out there who'd like it.
