Interest StacksThe order the author originally wrote the series in, preferred by most Monogatari fans. The most recommended order for first time anime watchers. This order is the result of Shaft's production delays so it's not the most popular order, but it has its own advantage for first-timers as well regarding enjoyment. Another order that first-time anime watchers use. Taking into account how the author intended to convey the story and correcting production constraints, while also considering the better way to experience the story in an anime format. Order recommended by the MC's voice actor, Hiroshi Kamiya. Though, this order is not largely popular. It is claimed that you can see how events unfold and affect the main characters, but may lose the intended mystery held within. The animation and plot style for Kizu also largely differ from the rest of the story. *Note This is also in my opinion the best watch order. Generally, go this order if you want to experience the series as people did when it came out, like the idea of experiencing an origin story before a finale, and or take interest in seeing how the presentation has changed and improved over the years with each instalment in the anime adaptation, at the cost of missing the originally intended order by the author. A comprehensive watch order of the Monogatari series, which includes every entry of the Monogatari franchise. Monogatari (物語, "Story") is a Japanese light novel series written by Nisio Isin and illustrated by Vofan. The plot centers on Koyomi Araragi, a third-year high school student who survives a vampire attack and finds himself helping girls involved with a variety of apparitions, deities, ghosts, beasts, spirits, and other supernatural phenomena, which often serve as proxies for their emotional and mental issues. Between November 2006 and August 2021, Kodansha published 28 volumes in the series under its Kodansha Box imprint. All of the series' story arcs share the common title suffix -monogatari (物語). Vampires, ghosts, head-tilts and donuts. It can only be the Monogatari Series! Based on a series of light novels by Nisioisn, the Monogatari series really boomed in popularity after Studio Shaft adapted the novels into anime. The Monogatari series follows highschooler, Koyomi Araragi, who, during Spring Break, had a fateful encounter with a vampire. Throughout the series, Araragi discovers several of his classmates are also struggling with their own personal issues, which are often tied to some kind of supernatural phenomenon or apparition. A step-by-step guide to watching the entire Monogatari Series released so far, in as close to chronological order as possible. Sexually-Charged Series with coming of age elements, dirty jokes, bizarre chronology, ecchi and skillfully dramatics when it has to be. |
