Active Raid: Kidou Kyoushuushitsu Dai Hachi Gakari

Very similar in presentation and the whole theme of private detective/police agency solving various crimes against a mysterious enemy. 

* Both have special troops/units/enforcements to deal with criminals/terrorists... * Both are kinda Sci-fi -ish... * Both of these have useless or lame action scenes... * Both of these, tries to be serious at critical point...but as you know - it fails a lot... † Main differences that GC has beautiful character designs unlike AR...also ost's in GC are pretty much great... [AR sucks at it]  

A rather unorthodox suggestion, as Active Raid is more lighthearted while AD Police is darker, but both anime are police procedurals focusing on advanced police units who's job is to deal with technological threats. Both have a futuristic setting and are quite action-packed, although as I mentioned, AD Police is the more mature of the two. 

It involves two guys who gets to do all the dirty work for the team, while the girls are confined in the comfort at the base, the differences, Heavy Object was more of military, while Active Raid were more of police genre  

Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress and Active Raid are action shows with trains. Each show is an original work by a director of an extremely famous anime. Active Raid is directed by Taniguchi Gorou (Code Geass), and Kabaneri is directed by Araki Tetsurou (Attack on Titan). There are some differences though, while Kabaneri is a Horror, Fantasy Show, Active Raid is primarily a Mecha. 

Both have a "horrible" group. In Kuusen Madoushi Kouhosei no Kyoukan they're the weakest, and in Active Raid, they're the most destructive and unliked group by both the public and the government officials and upper brass. Both horrible groups have someone sent to teach/correct them.  

- Both series has protagonists who has name "Takeru" - Both series has unique looking girls (Lapis from Taimadou and Liko from Active Raid) - Both series has special law enforcements and fight against criminals - Both series has characters who uses powerful armors Taimadou more focused to mystical powers concept and Active Raid more focused to Sci-Fi concept. Most of Taimadou characters is more younger than Active Raid characters. 

Both anime are set in a futuristic world and focus on a group of quirky police officers. There are mecha elements present in both anime too. Overall, they have a similar vibe. 

Tales of urban crime featuring quirky characters and zany comedy. There's also a lot of action and an overall atmosphere. The main difference is that Active Raid involves mecha and focuses on the police, while Riding Bean focuses on the outlaws. 

Both series have a similar setting. A paramilitary mecha police force must combat rogue mecha in a futuristic city. They come under public criticism for damage to the city, and both feature mecha pilots working under instruction from female operators back at base. 

Both are about unorthodox team of policemen keeping law and order in a futuristic setting and their attempts to keep collateral damage low while executing justice. 

Active Raid is like an updated, funkier silly copy of Patlabor in many aspects. You'll probably find your self comparing not only the main plot but also many characters of these series if you watch them both. If you enjoy slice of life shows accompanied by mecha action and a bunch of mismatched eccentric characters you may enjoy Patlabor to the fullest.  

Good guys against villains/super villians. Rather than super powers, both sides have crazy and amazing mecha suits which they use to fight each other Over the top and stupidly funny Both series will make you laugh and face palm, quite often at the same time. 

Different setting but same director (Gorō Taniguchi) and similar CG mecha designs. 

Both are about a police force and solving crimes Both have high-tech tools they use to solve crimes Both have a major villan/evil group they try to stop I think any fan of Psycho Pass will also like Active Raid 

Both series has power armors. Both series has the main protagonists, which at first glance does not really get along with each other.
