Anime adaptations of various gacha games, that is, basically mobile games of various genres (mostly musical or associated with moe anthropomorphism), where you play to earn points that can be spent on getting limited attractive characters (or cards with them) in a virtual analogue of a vending machine. Popularly, these anime are also often referred to as waifu or hasubendo bait shows due to the large number of attractive characters that the adaptation advertises to entice you to download the game.

Yuri with episodes that are shorter than standard anime length (standard anime have 22-25 minute episodes).

In general, anime with short episodes are a bit controversial. Since it is hard to tell a story in such a short amount of time, many people don’t like them.

Still… there is a market. Some comedies will benefit from having short episodes (because jokes can grow stale if dragged on for too long). There is also wanting to just shut off one’s brain and watch something that won’t take a lot of time.

I just realized there is a connection between several anime I enjoyed: Zombie Land Saga, Granblue Fantasy, and Princess Connect!: Re: Dive. They are all from Cygames. I usually don't pay much attention to the studios and producers behind the anime I like, but in this case, I thought the stories were entertaining and the animation was a cut above. The fights in Princess Connect were especially well done. And I really enjoyed the music in Zombie Land. I've heard good things about Akiba Maid War but I'm afraid I can't vouch for the rest.

This is a collection of comforting or cozy fantasy anime—stuff to watch when you want magic, but also don't want to be stressed out. For the most part, these anime don't contain anything too dark or graphic, and the fate of the world is not at stake.

inclusion in the list has nothing to do with perceived quality (i'll probably add some quick reviews in with some potential triggers, etc), but just the presence of girls (romantic) love.
