Both feature school girls creating a club, and feature a blonde foreign student. They both have a similar tone and genre. 

Minami Kamakura has the same formula as K-On, in terms of moe-girls in CGDCT daily-living, and doing club stuffs; juz that K-On is on light music and its theme as well, whilst this anime has cycling. The charm is that, both shows utilises real-life brands: K-On! has Fender, Gibson, Yamaha, and Korg showcased on the show; while Minami Kamakura has like, Cannondale featured, for example. Regrettably though, Minami Kamakura was made by JC Staff, who didn't seem to know what they were doing. Thus, what you might have expected on this anime about cycling, wasn't all focused as much as it could have (like, what hybrids, mountain bikes, or road bikes are; you know, cycling elements since K-On did manage to impart some music instrument stuffs like Yui's Les Paul; or Azusa's Mustang). read more
