New Interest Stack
Interest Stacks![]() ![]() Examples include Hoshiiro Girldrop from Poputepipikku or Serious Squadron Gachi Rangers from Mitsudomoe, maybe even the first episode of Osomatsu-san. I suppose that even Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo would count in a certain measure,...I suppose many anime include in-universe anime, but few make of it an entire episode / a longer section of it as a gag, or alternatively change the current anime radically in style/genre to make it seem like nearly a different anime entirely. ![]() ![]() Disclaimer: This stack is for informational purposes only and is not intended to marginalize or damage the reputation of the series mentioned. ![]() ![]() Peak comedy anime that you can call goofy, absurd, extreme wackiness, randomly generated… ![]() ![]() This is a weird concept for a list, but I think it's worth putting it out there. These are anime which I consider help understand anime better because of their referential humour, commentary on otaku culture (whether it's anime or gaming), exploration of the industry and twisting of classic tropes in self-aware ways that put them in perspective. Also included a couple shows which are not necessarily meta or referential, but they are here for being aggresively "anime" in nature, if that makes sense. With how over the top they are and/or how stereotypically otaku their concepts are, I think they give a good idea of how anime has developed. ![]() ![]() Comedy centered anime that will make you laugh, and allow you to proudly say, THIS IS COMEDY, without the sarcasm. The point of this stack is how these shows main purpose is to make you laugh, whether it succeeds or not. ![]() ![]() If your group of friends is like most, its members have a wide variety of interests and priorities. That's why anime recommendations for friends aren't a one-size-fits-all type of deal. Sure, you can recommend your personal favorites regardless of your friend's preferences, but you should also keep what they like in mind when giving anime advice. You don't want to recommend Naruto or Dragon Ball Z to a seasoned anime fan unless you know for a fact that they haven't seen it. Likewise, you don't want to suggest Monster Musume to someone who recoils at fan service, or Black Lagoon to someone who hates brutal scenes. ![]() ![]() Anime with visually appealing and unique art style and animation that make them stand out as "eye candy." Their vibrant and colorful aesthetics are just as charming as actual sweets too! ![]() ![]() Anime that more people should watch. Could be called “gems” depending on your familiarity with anime. Only anime below an 8.00 rating are included because any above would be too obvious. ![]() ![]() Animes with one or more characters that have neurodivergent traits |
