High school romance shows with relatively comedic first seasons but end up being heavier than expected in the second season. One's more of a harem series while the other is a more traditional romantic comedy, but they aren't exactly typical to either genre.

Both romantic comedies, though saekano focuses more on harem (more girls). Both get serious when it comes to the relationships, especially more so during the 2nd seasons where relationships conflict.

Both of these shows are rom-coms with core themes involving the resolve and hard work of creators. They deal with failure and perseverance alongside friendship and romance.

While these shows are completely unrelated by genre and story the artwork is similar. There is a huge focus on conversations and characters body language. Both shows focus heavily on conversations to progress the story rather than action or jumping to the next scene. Also both shows use body language as an important role in the conversations, what is not said is just as important as what is said.
