Only the most prevalent anime (meaning an anime not difficult to find) that they are an MC in is included in this list. This excludes sequels and such.

Anime with characters who consistently show actually autistic traits - stimming, obsession with very specific things and themes, social phobia, unwillingness to change routines, monotone or stereotyped speaking, strict habits, lack of interest in personal exchanges, difficulty building/maintaining relationships, unusual manners and gestures, selective but very strong empathy etc.

As this list becomes more and more popular (thanks everyone! Feedback appreciated!), I'm adding a friendly reminder: Autistic people are as diverse as neurotypical people are. This list could contain every character from every anime ever made and still be accurate as autistic rep! I just add the ones who "score higher" in showing more common autistic traits.

What I look for the most in an anime above everything else is high-quality writing. That's not to say that manga, visual novel, and light novel adaptations are written poorly; in fact, there are some that have incredible, masterfully-crafted storylines. I have simply personally found that some of the most unforgettable series for me have been novel adaptations.

Given that there currently exists no anime search option for this, the basis of this interest stack is to provide a list of full-length novels that have been adapted into series or movie format.

Anime shows and movies that have or will have a German dub, but do not currently have an English dub.

Shows that make use of scientific methods/terminology towards their goals. Some entries may be more serious, others may stretch its use for vague concepts.

This stack is an ultimate starter pack if you are looking for anime with genius protagonists or characters with considerably high IQ. If mind games and intelligent moments are your go-to interests, this is the perfect stack for you.

For anime with sequels, only the first seasons of each have been included in the stack. The genres include (but are not limited to) psychological, mystery, isekai, sports, and romance/drama.

Long-running shounen anime have not been included in the list, except Detective Conan (in case you are looking for Bleach or Fullmetal Alchemist - yes, this is according to Aizen's plan too).

Classic mystery whodunnits or police detectives solving cases involving murder, theft, etc. with a limited number of suspects. Mostly episodic rather than a full series with only one plot/case. Some listings with supernatural elements but only if it fits the 'detective' part of it.

Mystery anime that center around a series of deaths, assaults, or disappearances that are somehow connected. Possibly feature: serial killers, organized crime, supernatural elements, etc.

Episodic mysteries will be excluded if the string of crimes is limited to its own arc and not a part of an overarching narrative.

This list is targeted to people who have little time to spend on watching anime but they already have watched the popular ones. Anime in this list have occult following but they are not well-known in the public. Hope you'll be joining these occult followings by enjoying some of the following anime.
Also, this list is a challenge of shorts so that you won't stop watching just from the first episode and be able to have a better understanding of the anime you are watching.

These are shows which are amazing, each in their own way, however they were never finished. The list doesn't include shows that new seasons have been announced like Spice & Wolf (thank God for the new season). The sooner the better, Japan!
EDIT: Spice & Wolf definitely worthed it but a 2nd season is necessary! Also, so many shows that needed another season were aired or announced like Black Butler and Dorohedoro, so i removed them from this list. Let's go, Japan! Make Haruhi happen!

Anime specializing in various supernatural and paranormal tropes, usually with mystery and investigation underlying. This stack places weight on the more spiritually focussed paranormal anime.

As in, this isnt just anime with ghosts. There's usually a deeper grasp of the details around the paranormal displayed in these anime that present more compelling and believable paranormal themes. Some that are on here are spiritual in a more personal sense, that they stimulate your spirit in a deep way, not always that the anime itself has spirits.

But energies / ghosts / spirits / yokai are usually present. Based on whether the anime left an intellectual impression or not, some may think the anime on here aren't worth it if you're not in an open mind.

An assorted stack of anime series with some talented detectives and mind-boggling mysteries to uncover. Highly recommended for fans who love to put on a thinking cap and wrap their head around, trying to unravel secrets alongside the protagonists.

Anime full of Halloween spirit and spooky vibes.

Requirements for inclusion:
1. Halloween themes/tropes.
2. Western Halloween/horror tropes/characters.
3. Horror and/or action anime that give me a "Halloween" vibe (such as featuring vampires, werewolves, and so on).
4. Halloween inspired aesthetic.
5. Anime that give me "October" vibes.

What's not included:
1. Anime with witches that isn't spooky inspired setting (eg: Majo no Tabitabi).
2. Horror anime that doesn't feel distinctly "Halloween" enough.

1. Only anime that I have watched myself are included.
