Dragon Drive

In both anime the main character is introduced to a brand new world/game by the female. Both are also interesting in their own ways and I'm sure if you like one you will like the other. 

They both have a male protagonist who seems to have untapped potential that summons something incredibly strong. 

The main characters from both series are introduced to the world of Monster Strike/Dragon Drive. They obtain their own monster which happens to be a rare dragon type. He forms a team with his new friends and battle in an underground tournament. There is more to Monster Strike/Dragon Drive than meets the eye as the he uncovers it's secret.  

they're similar to me. 'cause when i was watching dragon drive, it somehow reminds me of pokemon. since both anime have trainer and a partner. 

Has the same feel as pokemon. Characters fight other characters using dragon like creatures main character has a dragon called chibi who is small and cute and is really strong like Ashes pokemon  

the main character plays a game he then was teleported to a dimension with the same concept as the game he finds out that he needs to save that world the feel of the anime is the same, basically xD 

Having a similar concept but monster rancher is far better executed and has a stronger selection of characters overall. the monsters are much more in depth since they are each given personality's and the ability to talk as well as battle. i also found the main character was more enjoyable than in dragon drive since he was more energized and humerus.It also has a much more gripping journey and better bad guys. It's just a lot more fun to watch but there essentially at the core the same type of show. i think if you like dragon drive your going to love monster rancher since its a standard above dragon drive.  read more 

In both of these series, the main character is a brown-haired guy who's a bit of a loser in some way at first. But then through different means, each gets a digital companion (who they both thought were weak at first) and do battles with others in a game-like setting. The main characters are very similar, they even have the same voice actor, and there are several other characters who share voices between the two shows. Both shows feature a digital world where people battle. Both are shounen. 

They are both about the bonds between the human and they're monster partner. And in both shows the human characters are able to control how their monster fights by using commands (Onmyou Taisenki: the protagonist traces symbols in specific combinations to initiate an attack) or they a connect spiritually to the monster and can control what attack they use with their mind? and body. (Dragon Drive: an example is the scene where Reiji, the protagonist, points his arm out, while riding on senkokura, to aim where senkokura needs to shoot with his shin saber). 

the will of being the strongest or the best in SOMETHING is always an good ambition wether to be a Martial arts fighter ( HxH) or the best champion the virtual world has ever seen and beyond (Dragondrive) 

It is all about virtual world which turns real. While SAO primarily focuses on relationship, Dragon Drive focuses on reiji resolving to fight in order to learn the truth about RI-ON, Rikyu and Dragon Drive. But, in order to get out of the virtual world, both of them have to find the truth and defeat the enemy.  

The main character of Cardfight!! Vanguard is Aichi Sendou whereas for Dragon Drive, it is Reiji. If you like one of them, you would be liking the other. It is mainly about battles and the virtual world which turns real. Cardfight!! Vanguard primarily uses card to the virtual world which is called 'cray' but Dragon drive has your entire body to the virtual world which is called 'D-Zone' and from there the adventure will begin.  

this is similar to dragon drive becaus a boy gets sucked into a world were you ride spiders but in dragon drive you ride dragons. both main character try geting stronger to fight evil and both animes have the same feel. 

game like with fighting Dragons.. both MC found an unsual dragon and become entangle with its world, and start their adventure. 

Both are about boys who go into something that starts off as and illiousion. Then they get stuck in another world. They have freinds who help them in almost everything. The boys both can be smart ( the one in Dragon Drive when he wants to).  

fighting whith dragons... if you liked this you might like blue dragon 

they both about playing game and the main characters are good at it and want to become champaions. well if u like angelic layer u should definately like dragon drive they bothe really good  

If you liked this anime, then you might possibly like this other one, (Dragon Drive/Bakugan depending on where you are) Both animes are about some sort of battling with creatures, (all different sorts for Bakugan and Dragons in Dragon Drive) and starts out as a game but later on it's discovered that this so-called game is more than it appears. 

digimon= dragon. tamer = driver. plot is over all the same. its more like 012. but yet severs is like 01. 

In both animes the characters control some type of demon (in Gash Bell) or dragons (in Dragon Drive) to defeat evil. 

Digital world with creatures not found in our world, that join up with a human and become friends. Then they have to fight to reach their goal to save everyone. 

I've enjoyed both of these animes quite well. Dragon drive is about several friends adventuring with their dragons soaring through the sky. Legendz also has a main cast of characters who are close friends adventuring around with the Legendz, where several of them are dragons as well. If you like dragons and adventuring with in-depth storylines then you should most certainly give this a chance. 

This anime feels similar to Shaman King. They both are about fighting with a partner (but it's slightly different because in Dragon Drive its with a dragon but Shaman King is with spirit). Both main characters seem similar also. Yoh is pretty similar to Reiji, they have a similar carefree attitude. (Their personalities are pretty different though). 

Fight with big animals, dragons or robots, similar world and story. 

HiMEs have the abilities to summon their 'child's who battle with 'orphans' in order to protect their loved ones.  

Alternate universe/dimension/world. Proxy battles. Tournament(s). Magic power, or abilities by external means, or otherwise. Prophecies/legends. Organizations/groups as malicious antagonists. Sometimes unclear main villain(s). Group of friends, or acquaintances. Pride. Adventure. Goal to get stronger, or gain more power. Relatively good soundtracks.
