Gararin to Gororin

At first glance, I thought there could not be anything interesting in an "anime" about some stone and a caterpillar, but here I am giving it a solid 10.

Story - 10/10
The anime follows Gararin and Gororin, a caterpillar and a stone, who are fighting for a spot on the top of Gararin's house. We can see how Gararin is trying to deal with Gororin, and as the show goes on we get more and more attached to the story and believe we are truly needed here for the story to develop. It's truly fun following Gararin's actions, will he succeed? Will Gororin stay on the ... top of his house forever? Couldn't possibly think of a better plot for an anime, I was really hooked on the show.

Art - 10/10
The animation was great, we can actually feel the expressions of the characters. How everything is designed and animated truly looks like they put so much time and effort into this anime, even a simple animation like this looks incredible and can stand alongside today's top animes.

Sound - 10/10
I truly am in love with this soundtrack, every single note is at the perfect place it possibly could be. Somewhere in the middle of the show, there's an amazing song, that I found myself humming ever since I finished watching this anime. Haven't heard of an anime with a better soundtrack than this.

Characters - 10/10
There are two characters in this show:
Gororin - a lazy stone. He is a truly overpowered enemy, who's lying on top of Gararin's house (which is absolutely rude). At first, I thought that as the antagonist, he's lacking a motive for his deeds, but as we go on in the show we can assume that all of it was a misunderstanding, but it can also be one of his evil plans.
Gararin - a caterpillar. He has a great transformation ability, and he thinks fast about a better solution if he couldn't win on the first try. As the protagonist, he did his very best to show that he is much better than some other shounen protagonist.
The character development of the two of them is insane, you couldn't expect such an amazing change of heart. They turned out to be the very best we could ask a character to be, the two of them are the most classic scenario for a perfect shounen anime.

Enjoyment - 10/10
I never had such fun watching an anime. This show is funny and unexpected, the plot and the characters are easy to understand and relate to, and the soundtrack is unbelievably delightful. Watching it over and over was the greatest use of time, I wish we could have more to this anime.

Overall - 10/10
I haven't found yet a better anime than this one, and I'm sure anything greater than this just doesn't exist. I've learned a lot from this anime, Gararin showed me that nothing can be done with violence, and if something doesn't work the way it's usually done, we need to try some other, more original way. This anime is everything I could ask for.
