Criteria:
• Score of 5.99 or below
• Widely considered to be "so bad it's good" by MAL users and/or the wider anime community
• Personal opinion/taste

No claymation, stop motion, 30 second CG clips, completely abstract visuals, experimental art created by a single person, etc!

Everything here is rated under 4.50 as of Spring 2022.

Looking for some of the funniest trashy and bad anime? Are you constantly digging up bad anime just to end up being bored by how bad it is, rather than laugh at how ironically fun it is? You've come to the right place!

I've only put in anime that made me ironically laugh while I watched it. There's anime such as Ex-Arm that were funny at first, but they also became a pain to watch as the series progresses. I still included it as the first few episodes are unintentionally hilarious. The list is organized from highest to lowest MAL average just to show how it gradually gets worse in quality.

Also, please DM me suggestions to add to this list too, if you have some! Tsui no Sora is excluded for being an h-anime, but it meets the criteria elsewise.

Banger Opening or Endings that had the bad luck of being used on a rather bad or mediocre show. One that didn't live up to it.



The idea is for series that are mediocre/bad whose only redeeming feature was the OP and/or ED.

This is my list as a native english speaker who prefers to watch dubbed. There may be a rare few I thought were pretty funny that also deserved a spot despite being subbed. You may boo me you sub puritans but you're just mad that other people enjoy things you don't like.

The story may suck, the art may be terrible, the music may be awful, or it might not even be a comedy... But it still got a genuine laugh. Not a chuckle or breathing out slightly, but at least one moment got an actual laugh.

Some/most of these are actually good shows, some are dumpster fires that you can't help but watch, some are just outright bad. But it still got a laugh.

Just a couple episodes of the most meaningless brainrot in the world. Can be watched in one or two sittings.
