MyAnimeList
Anime collected in this stack have stories which focus on the struggles of maintaining, repairing, or building family bonds. These relationships should be between the main characters and must be non-romantic in nature. ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ This list contains all movies that aren't related with any anime series. Main character goes through great trials and tribulations (and maybe a training montage or two) to get to the top. Starts out weak or with little to no power or skill, and becomes stronger/ more powerful/ skillful. Everyone knows Studio Ghibli's amazing work, but what about the other studios? Animes starring anthropomorphic animals. Collection of films and OVAs (and one TV series) that "feel" like Ghibli films, but aren't related to the studio and aren't connected to its canon lineup. Factors considered include story beats and character designs that are often seen in Ghibli works as well as works by Ghibli staff completed for other studios. Exhausted Studio Ghibli's filmography but want more? These anime have a visual presentation evocative of your favorite Ghibli films, but aren't made by Ghibli themselves. Another follow-up to the magical realism list. This is some of my favorite anime that tell coming-of-age stories, but this time in settings that are totally fantastical in every way, far removed from our real world. Be it action spectacles or down-to-earth shows in fantasy settings, these are some of my favorites about growing up in a world totally full of wonderful fantasy. As always, I will be using the first season to be representative of the entire series. This inhumanly derivative, formulaic, escapist, consumerist and incestuous genre is one of my guilty pleasures, and in my journey through it I have found some good stuff. Here are shows which either execute the classic isekai tropes well and simply have quality, or shows that may not be the best, but which at least have an interesting execution of the isekai concept that subverts expectations or at least isn't so derivative, generic or mediocre as others. Just some isekai to waste your time with sometimes. I mean, seriously, who doesn’t watch isekai to be disappointed sometimes with the overused trope of "Trashy/Normal MC > Reincarnates Into OP MC > Beats Up All Enemies." However, despite what I've said, there are some decent isekai you could check out. This is a list of non-Ghibli standalone movies - meaning they are not associated with a TV series Anime with visually appealing and unique art style and animation that make them stand out as "eye candy." Their vibrant and colorful aesthetics are just as charming as actual sweets too! Are human protagonists really all that interesting, or do others deserve more recognition for being as equally and in some cases more alluring than humans? |
