Hime-chan came out in 1992 a year before miracle girls. Hime-chan is about a girl who is given a magical ribbon with powers from a girl who looks just like her twin in the magical kingdom. What makes this show and miracle girls similar is they are both shows about twins with powers and going through young girlhood problems such as school, boys, etc.. in a magical way.

Mushishi and Miracle Girls both tell self-contained stories about supernatural events. The two shows are similar in the way they focus on the theme of perception, as the main characters have the abillity to see what other people don't. Therefore the act of seeing, and sometimes feeling (through the four other senses in Mushishi and the 6th sense/intuition in Miracle Girls) is a important element of the shows' mise en scène. They also share the same eerie atmosphere which is not, strictly speaking, horror, but which is not reassuring either. The mood is also set in both shows by the regular use of traditionnal Japanese instruments  read more

Sugar Sugar Rune is about two best friends, Chocolat Meilleure and Vanilla Mieux, who are young witches from the Magical World. They are chosen to compete in a contest to see who can collect the most hearts from human boys. What makes thier story similiar to miracle girls is the simple fact its about two girls with powers though Miracle girls have Esp and are sisters not witches.

Though Marmalade boy is heavy on the romance and doesn't include ESP nor magic. What these shows have in common are that they are quite similar in style and in animation and both shows from the early 90's.Miracle Girls does have some romance but not as much as Marmalade boy.

Both Animes have a sibling bond relationship,Full Metal Alchemist features 2 brothers who committed a sacrifice performing an alchemey and both must get they're original bodies/forms back. Miracle Girls is a slice of life shoujo anime featuring 2 twin sisters who share a sibling bond but sometimes argue and have ESP (Esper powers) to teleport to anywhere. also, both animes's music soundtracks were composed by Michiru Oshima

Both shows have a similar cute fantasy vibe (though the plot of the shows are quite different). What's most similar are the characters. If you enjoyed the main characters of either show you would certainly enjoy the other. The art style is also fairly similar.
