This list features Anime that are entertaining but also teach you stuff that you could actually make use of in your life. From food to workouts and science, you will learn something!

Anime that teaches the viewer about or creates interest in a subject. Focusing on more tangible topics, not something subjective or abstract like life lessons.

Excludes anime tagged with the educational theme. Only one sports anime per sport.

Recommendations cherry-picked from the entire Gourmet genre.

Anime that focus heavily on food, often with detailed close-up shots and mouth-watering scenes.

Although very different in genre, each of these shows provided me with some the the best comedy that I have ever seen. (That is, if the more 18+/goofy/occasional crack comedy is what you prefer)

Kansai-ben, Touhoku-ben, Hokkaido-ben, ... Japan is rich with their dialects, accents and expressions. I find certain charms to these and will try to maintain this stack adding animes involving some of these dialects.
It might take me some time to gather series and regions but I will try my best.

Just as the title says, anime about food and cooking that are worth your time. Partner to my manga list.

Obviously, not every gourmet anime is on this list- I deliberately left off ones that I just don't like. Sorry, not sorry- you can message me if you think I've made a mistake and I'll let you know why your fav is not on here.

There are boobs and uncensored version of these animes. The MC is overpowered in some of the anime but not all harem kings are op 😈.The list does not show all the related animes(seasons) only 1 is given to keep it short...
