Interest Stacks  The following list is more assumption than actual knowledge, since I don't have access to the books, etc.   Anime series that covers all of the original source they're based on, with some notes.   Silhouette animation is created by backlit shadow puppets. Shadow plays have existed for centuries, but on film it is a form of stop-motion. The effect is usually created with paper cutouts, which is why it is often considered a subgenre of cutout animation.
