Voice actors sounds similar. Izaya's voice actor does Art but 'Nice's' voice too could have fitted in in Durarara just fine. Also, the jazz music...

The most similar anime by far, indeed same studio, author i can call them siblings. *both has to deal with gangs wars *both take place in busty town, where everyone has unique character *both have supernatural elements included

Both are the continuation of their respective series with the number 2 in their titles. The stories in both shows gets serious but at the same time receive controversy and criticism from fans alike. No to mention character development and action have more emphasis than their prequels. The conclusions in both series are a defining factor of what the show represents leading to more sequels.

Both anime are about different gangs with charismatic leaders traversing the dark underworld in Ikebukuro which is a commercial and entertainment district located in the specialized Toshima Ward in Tokyo. Both anime also have a similar feel in terms of tensions and conflicts between rival gangs and between friendships as well. Thanks for reading, -Tooru25

Both start of as lighthearted stories featuring a protagonist who starts off an adventure filled with mysteries. Later it would get serious and dark with formidable enemies coming in.

Covers the young Shizuo (Durarara) and Kagami (Kuroko) backstories and how they grew up to be the badass they are! Also covers their rival's backstories Izaya (Durarara) and Tatsuya (Kuroko) as both characters in both series grew up together!

It happens late in Durarara, revealed in Ketsu, while happens early in Kuroko no Basket, but in both the anime this season here, the main characters learn their limitations. In Kuroko, Kagami learns his limitation when his muscle strain limit how much he can do a power jump, and Midorima learns his limitation when even his 100% accurate shot could be stopped. In Durarara, Izaya realizes his limitation, that Shizuo is a monster and can't be stopped so he chooses to leave town injured, (that was a really heart memorable scene!) Mikado also finally realizes his limitation that he shouldn't be taking everything on himself,  read more

Both shows involve three friends who are trying to save each other from "darkness" or "the wrong path." The two shows are also very similar in terms of character. Masaomi & Mikado are sort of like Naruto and Sasuke in a weird way. Both young men want to save or take actions in their own unique ways. While Anri is like Sakura, always upset and unable to decide what is best or what to do about her two friends fighting.
