World Masterpiece Theatre is a Japanese TV anime staple that showcases an animated version of a different classical book or story each year. It originally aired from 1969 to 1997 and then resumed in 2007. WMT series were originally produced by Mushi Production and Zuiyo Eizo, and then by the latter's successor Nippon Animation, and originally air primarily on Fuji Television. Organized by the Japan Anime Festival Executive Committee, their members being the editors-in-chief of five major anime magazines, which were Animedia, The Anime, My Anime, Monthly OUT, and Animeck (Animage did not participate, as they had own Anime Awards). The main choices were decided by industry insiders and artistic creators (people like Osamu Tezuka), with the Fan Awards being self-explanatory. This is the second part of a collection of articles where I aim to explore the evolution of anime related music. This part of the list attempts to collect a list of most iconic performances on the "New Age" of anime music. Anime that (mostly) appeared on the channel RTL II in the golden times of german (anime) television in the mid 90's to early 2000's. Many of them are an essential part of the childhood of 90's kids in Germany or introduced them Anime featured in the Mitsuko Horie - Ayumi 5 CD release Anime featured in the Mitsuko Horie - Ayumi 6 CD release In progress.. A list of anime that are adaptions of children's books (all around the globe). Recommended for reasons of nostalgia and as Iyashikei-anime before Iyashikei was a thing.
