Recommendations

Both anime are inspired by novels ("Anne of Green Gables" & "Little Women") and fall under the slice of life and drama genres. The main character is a rather tomboyish and imaginative girl. They also have the same character design and storyboard-maker.

They're both based on older classic novels (both published in the 19th century), both part of the World Masterpiece Theater, and animated by the same Nippon studio, where many of the animation staff (animator, storyboard, photography, etc) worked on both titles.  The anime are similarly paced. The Dub has same the VA for the/a main character : Becca in The Swiss Family Robinson and Amy from Tales of Little Women. While the stories (plot) aren't particularly similar (published around 50 years apart by different authors), there are some similar themes and both have a similar viewing experience - so if you like one, it's highly probable you'll  read more
