This is a a list of series that I'd categorize as "traditionalist" H&E.

This label isn't an indication of things such as quality or originality. This category is trying to indicate H&E series that fit best into the sensibilities of a Golden Era Harem&Ecchi series, which is when the genre was at its peak in popularity and output.

These are series I believe will appeal to people who prefer things like a greater emphasis on the harem itself, character dynamics and interaction, and a more balanced approach between the H&E aspects of the series and the other aspects it will possess, i.e. comedy, action, what have you. These series will also feature a diminished emphasis on the MC - instead tending to use him more as a stagehand to facilitate intimate interactions and ecchi scenes - and will tend to use narratives more as vessels for the harem aspects, ecchi scenes, or character interactions.

Well, this anime list that I made might be a recommendation for those of you who want to watch anime that only has 1 season, then adapted from a Light Novel/Manga, also I included the adaptation of Visual Novel/Web Manga/original recommended, but you could say the anime list that I made is all romance😅

But for anime that has 1 season with a rating of <6, I didn't include it, so don't ask why, then don't expect the list I made to contain BL/GL elements.

Shows that feature main characters with twintails or prominent pigtails. Will be updated when I have some spare time since I have a larger list of them.

One of the famous classic and popular seiyuus in Japan, and one of my main favorites. They formed a unit named, "Yamato Nadeshiko", in which they produced their singles. The two young maidens are actually best friends, affiliated to each other and at the same time, they are usually together in joining an anime. Their roles are best friends too! Is it just a coincidence? This is my collection of Yui Horie and Yukari Tamura's best joint animes!

These animes, even though they have few male characters, most of the cast is composed of girls/women.

This list is dedicated to such a specific sub-genre of LN as "action magic schools". Most of these stories are about how a talented and experienced OP MC ends up in a magic school where they train martial magic skills. Initially, most of the students treat him with contempt and disrespect, as the MC is erroneously defined as a weak loser. But thanks to his experience, intelligence and skills, he proves who is the big boss here. This LN is about OP characters, so almost every work is also an action harem.

Warning: Being one of the popular escapism genres, many works overuse very similar clichés and often take themselves too seriously. Also, most of the list includes large doses of ecchi, up to a separate sub-genre of "magic schools with erotic magic".
Warning 2: The list does not include the usual anime about magical schools like Blue Exorcist, since such works are representatives of the action shonen genre and are almost always published in manga form.

This stack lists anime where emotionless and/or kuudere female characters are either the protagonists, or the main girl. Any romantic developments and undertones are also considered here, though are not always present.
