Ore ga Ojousama Gakkou ni "Shomin Sample" Toshite Gets♥Sareta Ken

Kimito Kagurazaka is a commoner with a fetish for men's muscles—or at least that's the lie he must keep telling if he wants to keep himself out of trouble at the elite all-girls school, Seikain Academy. Kidnapped by the school under the assumption that he prefers men, Kimito is made to be their "commoner sample," exposing the girls to both commoner and man so that the transition to the world after school is not jarring. Threatened with castration should his sexual preferences not match the school's assumptions, Kimito keeps up the facade to protect his manhood.

But there are eccentric individuals around every corner who begin to make Kimito's life even more difficult. Among them are Aika Tenkuubashi, a social outcast who blurts out whatever comes to mind; Hakua Shiodome, a young genius; Karen Jinryou, the daughter of samurai who is obsessed with defeating Kimito; and Reiko Arisugawa, the perfect student who has delusions of marrying Kimito. Along with the commoner himself, these four girls make up the Commoner Club, which attempts to teach the girls more about life outside the school, while Kimito gradually learns about the odd girls surrounding him.

The story takes place at a prestigious all-girls academy.

The main character Kimito is yanked from his own school and is brought to attend this academy so that these sheltered girls can get an idea about the world of the commoners.

Kimito is only allowed to stay because the heads of the academy believe him to be gay and into very muscular men.
Roll intro: “♫ Come and knock on our door. We've been waiting for you. Where the kisses are hers and hers and his. Three's company too ♪ ♬”

Eventually he unintentionally creates a harem (the Commoners Club).
-You have Hakua the 14 yr old ... loli who looks like she’s in grade school. She’s a science and engineering genius. She only opens up Kimito. Is very attached to him and acts like a little sister around him including sitting on his lap. Oh and she also likes to take all her clothes off when solving science problems.
She is by far the most entertaining character in the show.
-Aika the fiery red head. She has no friends and also only opens up to Kimito. She’s the second most entertaining character.
-Karen the eccentric samurai wannabe who attacks Kimito with a sword. She’s envious of Kimito and cant get enough of Hakua’s cuteness.
-And last and least Reiko. She is the least interesting of the bunch. She’s just the typical generic good looking and polite popular girl.

You have supporting characters like Miyuki the maid (the second cutest character after Hakua). Who plans on cutting off Kimito’s dick if it turns out he’s not gay.
Kimito is believed to be gay because his “girlfriend” (*childhood friend) Eri told everyone he’s gay so she could have him all to herself.
It is definitely a cast of crazy and as a result entertaining characters.

Credit to Shomin Sample its not just some typical lazy-harem. Yes it looks that way on the surface but its genuinely funny to watch. Each episode had me laughing. Except for the last 2 episodes, they're kinda garbage.

Even the main character Kimito is entertaining and doesn’t come off as just the boring guy who happens to have a bunch of girls falling for him. He actually has a funny personality.

Good characters. Good comedy. Good ecchi fan service. Funny scenarios.

Mixed Feelings

Short review for generic ecchi harem #25099 is generic. Gets.

I am not going to attempt to even write a normal review for this anime solely because the score, 6.84, does the talking for me, and the real title, " Story in Which I Was Kidnapped by a Young Lady's School to be a "Sample of the Common People" ", though I would rate it lower on my own fixed scale (not the sorting one I use).

In one word, this is generic. Nothing more, nothing less. I wouldn't say it tries to go beyond being one word or even going lower than one word. It ... simply works best to describe Shomin Sample as generic. Audiovisuals are average and enjoyment fuels from cliche tropes too. What I will say is that I have a problem with the story's writing. I don't know if the writers tried to add "character" but the story and characters are stupid as hell. Few reasons why follows as:
1. They know nothing about smartphones despite one of the students literally owning a lab.
2. They don't know about anything "common" like simple Japanese food despite being of that descent.
3. Why does the dude have to prove they don't love girls in a romantic way to be a sample. Anyone will do.
4. If the school needed a sample, wouldn't it work so that the girls just went outside on what could be associated with a field trip?
5. Why is Shomin Sample?

The ending really took the cake of generic things are generic. All of it being cliche and predictable with progression within it.

With the real important questions such as, "How ecchi would you rate this?" I would say 5-6/10. It tried for a bit but even that wasn't anything your average ecchi user would enjoy, then it slowly regressed towards the end. Expect your scene 52 of the anime to have the protagonist fall over the air and touch orange-haired tsundere's bosom. Nothing out of the ordinary for an anime of its kind and time.

I'll admit, I watched solely because of Hakua. Just stumbled across her one day and knew her personality was this to my liking—and I so confirmed it—so I just watched this. Can't say I am disappointed honestly. This is really everything you can expect it to be in terms of the common land of ecchi harem anime. Wouldn't recommend it unless you want to pass the time. Though it is a good laugh at something doltish if you want to laugh at something with disposable and recycled writing. Sometimes I genuinely laughed at jokes, sometimes I laughed for no reason. Sometimes... bruh. Gets.

Apart from Reiko, other female characters remain dull. The absurd comedy seems good at first, but it can't make you laugh anymore because it repeats too much. On top of that, some chapters feel like they are just empty to fill them in, episode 10 can be cited as an example of this. The music was so ordinary that I couldn't hold a place in my mind with any other music.
We don't get to know the main characters deeply. Ecchi and Harem feel like they were put there just to be featured. Because it doesn't affect the course of the scenario much. In fact, after ... a while, it made me think that it would be okay if it wasn't. There are almost no romantic-comedy parts. In short, it is an anime that tries to be many things but does not focus on anything deeply.
I give it 3 out of 10.
