Similar settings and themes. Individuals in a particular geographic location are given special abilities, and there is conflict between those under the "protection" of the government/organization and those outside of it.

Both series features a main protagonist involved in a world where he has never experienced dealing with beings with supernatural abilities. A secret organization is involved in both series that deals with these supernatural beings. There is plenty of action, drama, and some comedy in both series. The main protagonist in both series are also confused at first but later learns their origins and places in the world.

Both share similarity in that people born with esper powers are feared and hated by non-espers.

Both of the main characters in it, Kai and Layfon, are both very much alike and are forced to become *spoilers for both of them, in a way*; they both have special powers, always seeming to be wanted by people for their power, have lots of action filled with supernatural stuff, ect... To put it blankly, they're like exact copies of eachother.

Both have characters that use unique superhuman abilities and they are both action packed. The lead character in both of the series also used to belong to certain groups, until they quit the groups. Kai Kudo and Train 'Black Cat' both leave their organizations in order to find where they really belong in the world.
