Both Bleach and Kyoukai no Rinne focus on a red-headed teenage boy who is a shinigami, though more human than the other shinigami. Both protagonists must lead lost souls into the afterlife/Rinnie no Wa, but they also have to battle those who interfere with these processes.

Not only are the two animes created by Rumiko Takahashi, but the characters are very similar. Both series focus on a character who is half-human but half something else, and that other half is something they try to be more often. A lot of other characters in Kyoukai no Rinne are very alike to the ones in Inuyasha, which fans would be able to point out instantly. Inuyasha may be a little more serious and long-winded, though it still offers the same comedic moments and lovable characters.
