CLAMP in Wonderland

This is a simple but enjoyable music video that pays tribute to the manga group Clamp, famous for its elegant charming illustrations and its various stories. The video features all the Clamp characters created from 1989 to 1994 (the time this video was made).

The song is the best part about the video. It has a nice upbeat and romantic atmosphere to it. More importantly, it ties the video together through its message of entering a whole new fantasy world filled with beauty and adventure. The video has no real story and is just a well-animated montage of Clamp characters, who generally come from different tales ... (an Alice in Wonderland comedy, a trio of magical schoolgirls, an apocalyptic superhuman battle, and so on), but the song successfully manages to collect and unite these varied stories into Clamp’s distinct and unique wonderland.

All in all, it’s a great tribute to a fine group of artists. Fans both casual and dedicated will appreciate the appearances by their favourite Clamp characters (including a special appearance by Jouta Kujo, a fan-made character inspired by the classic action manga Jojo's Bizarre Adventure).

Clamp in Wonderland is a gorgeous music video featuring Kamui of, 'X/1999' falling into the rabbit hole of Wonderland~ It's cast with full-colors and a soft mood that's sure to make you smile from ear to ear! If you're a fan of cross-overs, then you definitely have to get on this!!

Wonderland is surely the place you visit in this cute animation, a place where you feel like you can touch the stars and taste the sky! Needless to say it's obvious I really enjoyed it~ Clamp's style is so diverse and each character is different throughout art-forms of the the video. You'll meet ... all of your childhood Clamp favorites, and they'll meet each other, what could be better? You don't need to be a Clamp fan to enjoy this work, but it's alot more enjoyable if you do.

I have to say the most beneficial component of this video has to be the fact that you can see many of your Clamp works that were never animated now animated for the first time!

Don't treat this like an anime episode, it's not. It's a music video for Clamp fan's enjoyment~

However, if you're not a fan of old anime, and old anime style, you should stay away from this one~ It's full of it.

I'm one of those people who looked up this music video because, at the end of video before the credits play, we see the only animated version of Jota Kujo, a fan-character created by CLAMP as an Mpreg (except for with an egg) BL storyline with Jotaro and Kakyoin from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Jota being their egg-born lovechild. You can look up that manga where he premieres in, but knowing that he was animated I just had to see what happened.

And to my surprise... a music video, celebrating characters from CLAMP. I only watched and read a handful of CLAMP properties, the majority of which ... were shown in the sequel video because they seem to be from relatively-later series, so I can't say I know anyone. And because of that, the only character I recognize here in this first video is Jota. Otherwise, I'm left with pretty music against a background of a multitude of anime that CLAMP could have been proud of back in the day but are otherwise just random from my perspective.
