Adult Swim (stylized as [adult swim] or abbreviated as [as]) is an American timeshare cable television network bundled with Cartoon Network. The programs featured on Adult Swim are geared toward teens and young adults. Broadcast since 2001, much of the network's general content is known for its risqué, unorthodox and often bizarre presentation, while many of the series' features are developed in stark contrast with traditional American television programs. But then, there are some series which has a particular way to evocate their sentiments and they use different tools to do that. Thought provoking writing, displaying the characters' internal monologues, their struggles and fears, using particular cinematographic angles and by blending contrasting styles of animation, coloring and highly symbolical and metaphorical imagery - these are some of the many hallmarks signifying the said animation has psychological themes, and that it is avant-garde in it's approach. This method of expression is not limited to any genre, as well. Este fue mi primer año en el Desafío anual fue un año un poco estresante para mí en los personal pero logré completar el desafío. List of Original Anime Series' (not including sequels/specials/movies) These are some pretty good psychological anime series and movies.. Some are new and some are a little older. Enjoy! Fanservice can be distasteful, unnecessary, or passable. And then there's this: fanservice so clever, confident and mindfully self-indulgent that it stops being fanservice and becomes a defining feature of an anime and a remarkable artistic achievement in its own right. Can't even get mad at it. |
