New Interest Stack
Interest StacksAnime series not so well known for their titles, some not necessarily underestimated, but easy to go unnoticed in the community. The included anime contain multiple mysterious cases that are only loosely connected, or not connected at all. Criteria: Anime series that covers all of the original source they're based on, with some notes. Early anime that I think was digitally animated, mostly trying to aim before 2000. To be clear I'm not 100% sure these were all digitally animated, but they have "the look" Detectives that travel around with an absolute freak just a total freak of a thing. Demons? Gods? Corpses? Puppets? Some kind of freak. The detective can also be weird. Hyouka doesn't count because both protags are equal amount of weird but acceptable little freak. Death note also doesn't count because Ryuk is the one who's followed around by a freak, not L. Please feel free to suggest more. As of now, I've only seen Un-Go and Sakon, both of which are recommendations but Sakon is a lot more tentative of one. Both the source material - manga - and the anime adaptation are done. If there is something to note, it will be written in the respective area. Here is a list of WSJ anime, who's manga equivalent does not have a (complete) English translation. |
