Pokemon Movie 09: Pokemon Ranger to Umi no Ouji Manaphy

Ok these are both Pokémon movies but they’re SO SIMILAR Trying to say similarities without spoilers but - friendship between human and mythical Pokémon - the opening scenes being of festivals/circuses - THE ENVIRONMENTALISM THEMES!!!!!! - both movies truly show what the spirit of the Pokémon franchise is about, although in different ways. 

Part of the soundtrack to the Manaphy movie really reminded me of howl’s moving castle Also the idea of a “moving castle” is in both of these films The antagonist wants to take advantage of the mythical/magical being in both films 

Both are children's adventure films about finding a lost civilization. In both, mystical powers and lost knowledge are key in protecting both Laputa and the Temple of the Sea from an invader who wants power and wealth. Both have similar imagery. 

This may just be IMO but... there ARE some similarities. The endings are different (obviously) but, if you look at it like this, IMO, you will see the similarities Sousuke- May Ponyo- Manaphy Fujimoto- Pokemon Ranger Jackie Walker So... yeah... do whatever you want
