New Interest Stack
Interest StacksStuff that is either obscure/unpopular, janky, wildly inconsistent or noticeably cheap (pick any combination), but somehow makes things work and be good anyway (typically against the odds). Characterized by having a MAL average under 7. As far as I'm concerned there's an anime about pretty much everything if you look hard enough: diving, underwear design, insurance investigation (yup!) and don't even get me started on cooking. So there, picked titles with main characters directly involved and at least some focus on whatever they're doing for a living or a hobby or both. An ongoing collection of science-fiction works that feature "realistic" space travel. Hard science fiction is a category of science fiction characterized by concern for scientific accuracy and logic. The heart of the "hard science fiction" designation is the relationship of the science content and attitude to the rest of the narrative, and the "hardness" or rigor of the science itself. One requirement for hard SF is procedural or intentional: a story should try to be accurate, logical, credible and rigorous in its use of current scientific and technical knowledge about which technology, phenomena, scenarios and situations that are practically or theoretically possible. For example, the development of concrete proposals for spaceships, space stations, space missions, and a US space program in the 1950s and 1960s influenced a widespread proliferation of "hard" space stories. 463-550. Rip. Only like 30+ anime left to check from for the next part, which means it'll be small. ;-;. Oh well. Still gonna be fun. :D Shows that have elements of hard science within them, such as chemistry, biology, physics, and astronomy. Anime with absolutely no supernatural elements and at most minor breaks from reality. Modern and Period are allowed, as is "Alternate History" or "Fantasy" if they stringently avoids both paranormal and speculative plot elements. This stack lists various anime with coastal, oceanic or maritime settings. They may be "ocean worlds" or just involve shoreside locations (e.g. a seaside town); however, they all share a setting characterised by proximity to a marine environment. Naturally, each series has varying levels of emphasis on these nautical elements. |
