If you've ever seen an anime and thought, "Wow, this anime has really good background art", and "Wow, this episode preview at the end looks amazing!" chances are it was made by Shichiro Kobayashi. An icon of Japanese animation, Kobayashi has had a fruitful career spanning over thirty years as the art director for several iconic shows. While known generally for his vibrant and highly detailed palettes, Kobayashi brought the animation technique known as "postcard memories" or "harmonies" to life alongside director and innovator Osamu Dezaki and character designer Akio Sugino, which are cels of animation superimposed with gouache to give off a lasting image.

Kobayashi's influence defined anime background art, and his output has been replicated by other art directors since—his own studio, Kobayashi Production, consists of students and proteges alike that have equally contributed to formative works in anime.

The following list is a selection of shows that contains Kobayashi's most notable and prettiest backgrounds, and I highly encourage you to check them out.

A Magical Girlfriend, exotic girlfriend, supernatural lover, monster girlfriend, or nonhuman woman, is a female (or male, in rarer cases) stock character often associated with romantic comedy anime and manga series, and is sometimes considered a genre of its own, or as the leading lady of the "fantastic romance" genre, which combines the fantasy and romance genres.

Magical girlfriends can be one or many in a single series (always attached to the protagonists). Because of the tendency for rivals to appear even when there is a 'spoken for' lead character and because of the unnatural gender balance among the cast, magical girlfriend comedies are often conflated with harem comedies. A good example of this conflation is 'Oh My Goddess!' which is often confused with one of the prototypical 'harem' titles", despite the short-lived nature of most of the romantic rivalries in the series.

Magical girlfriends initially derived from the US television series Bewitched, which was dubbed for the Japanese market. Sally the Witch was the first anime series inspired by Bewitched, leading to the popularity of magical girls in Japanese anime.

Many of these known by proxy or heard about, but not that commonly actually watched beyond a few exceptions. Anime from the past millenium hides many gems that are worth watching.

Anime that are heavily overlooked on MAL (at the time of writing, under 20k members). Most, if not all of them are also underrated. Will likely add stuff in the future as I watch them.

A compilation of anime that began airing during the month of February.

This Month is most notable for airing the original Dragon Ball, Naruto: Shippuuden and the directorial debut of Satoshi Kon with Perfect Blue (premiered in August, but MAL logs it's theatrical February release so I'm keeping it here lol).

Although I divided the anime into seasons, we will not see it that way, it is simply so that you can see when each season begins and ends.

My sources:
https://imgur.com/82fsrou
https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anexo:Episodios_de_Urusei_Yatsura

They do not go together 100%, because the image "Ultimate Guide to watch Urusei Yatsura" comes with personal comments from the person who made it, which I honestly did not take into account (Star/Text Balloon Red and brown)

Also search the English Language Wikipedia, and it appears that there are 4 seasons. I won't take it into account, since my previous 2 sources agree that it is 9-10 seasons.

Aunque dividí el anime en temporadas, no lo veremos de esa manera, es simplemente para que vean cuando comienza y termina cada temporada.

Mis fuentes:
https://imgur.com/82fsrou
https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anexo:Episodios_de_Urusei_Yatsura

Rumiko Takahashi is one of the most influential manga authors in history, her manga being some of selling very well in japan and many of her series being part of the push for anime abroad in the early 90’s. She’s such a big deal she got an exhibit at an art museum in Japan in 2008, and with at a set of OVAs to celebrate it. The special is a crossover between Urusei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2, and InuYasha, so I’ve compiled all the anime you should watch before watching the Special. Quite the excuse to make a Rumic World Stack eh?

This stack is organized by release order and has more details in the description of the anime, the only exceptions are the titular OVAs because an InuYasha anime came out afterword but I wanted to include it with the other InuYasha anime and the Urusei Yatsura and Ranma 1/2 readaptations which I included for shits and giggles.
