Interest StacksIf you've ever seen an anime and thought, "Wow, this anime has really good background art", and "Wow, this episode preview at the end looks amazing!" chances are it was made by Shichiro Kobayashi. An icon of Japanese animation, Kobayashi has had a fruitful career spanning over thirty years as the art director for several iconic shows. While known generally for his vibrant and highly detailed palettes, Kobayashi brought the animation technique known as "postcard memories" or "harmonies" to life alongside director and innovator Osamu Dezaki and character designer Akio Sugino, which are cels of animation superimposed with gouache to give off a lasting image. Facing reality, rejecting the fantasy, and not running away from our issues. Embrace life! A Magical Girlfriend, exotic girlfriend, supernatural lover, monster girlfriend, or nonhuman woman, is a female (or male, in rarer cases) stock character often associated with romantic comedy anime and manga series, and is sometimes considered a genre of its own, or as the leading lady of the "fantastic romance" genre, which combines the fantasy and romance genres. Many of these known by proxy or heard about, but not that commonly actually watched beyond a few exceptions. Anime from the past millenium hides many gems that are worth watching. OVAs and movies that aired in Spain's TV channels (public or private), listed with the Spanish title. Might be missing some or be messy: I wanted to add the most important but also the less obvious. This is a comprehensive list of anime featuring bikini-clad girls in science fiction settings. Anime that are heavily overlooked on MAL (at the time of writing, under 20k members). Most, if not all of them are also underrated. Will likely add stuff in the future as I watch them. A compilation of anime that began airing during the month of February. Mamoru Oshii is a popular creator and has been involved in several anime in both major and minor roles. Although I divided the anime into seasons, we will not see it that way, it is simply so that you can see when each season begins and ends. Rumiko Takahashi is one of the most influential manga authors in history, her manga being some of selling very well in japan and many of her series being part of the push for anime abroad in the early 90’s. She’s such a big deal she got an exhibit at an art museum in Japan in 2008, and with at a set of OVAs to celebrate it. The special is a crossover between Urusei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2, and InuYasha, so I’ve compiled all the anime you should watch before watching the Special. Quite the excuse to make a Rumic World Stack eh? |
