These are some of the best titles for those who’re just getting into anime. These series have good plots/characters that make good introductions to the world of anime. Anime with yōkai—spirits from the Shinto religion and/or Japanese folklore. Popular types include kitsune (fox spirits), shape-shifting tanuki (raccoon dogs), kappa (river monsters), and oni (ogre-like demons). Anime that aired in Britain on TV. Does not include streaming, home release, etc. Some air dates are included. It’s disappointing how most mainstream anime have cliche plots and questionable scenes, and somehow catch the eye of millions. Many series that are actually thought-out and well-crafted are left behind in the dust to be forgotten. We made this interest stack out of hope in sharing these complex and deep stories for you to witness. CGI in anime is often ridiculed due to clashing with the 2D animation. However, the reason why they put 3D models in more recent anime because when done right, it boosts the animation quality massively. Ever wanted to watch something cute just to pass time or relax?
