Kaze no Tairiku

Both have supernatural action along with sword swinging and strong female character. But ninja scroll does everything right with the anime, which the weathering continent did wrong.  

Both anime have a small team of specialists struggling to survive the dire consequences of ruin exploration. While different in tone -- Fam & Ihrlie light and playful high fantasy, Wind Continent more serious and dark like Conan -- both anime should satisfy the traveler in search of new adventures.

Both have the same apacolyptic scenario,showing struggles for survival by finding food and staying alive from bandits 

Both have that classic fantasy feel to them, and the stories are told well. However, unlike The Heroic Legend of Arslan, Kaze no Tairiku seems like a side quest.
