If there was a time machine to go back in time, I would do it for each of the anime listed here, ordered from the best to the least (again).   This stack is a collection of anime that are either set during summer or convey summer vibes (for example are set in a place next to the ocean).   It's the Pre-2020 Anime what ever that's mean   Cottegecore stories harken back to simpler times and a simpler way of living. Aesthetics often include rural landscapes, cottages, and other dwellings surrounded by flowers and nature, boys in overalls and girls in old-fashioned dresses, lush forests, and low-tech items and furniture from olden times.   These series and animated films take place in the countryside, forest, or other rural location.
