Nagasarete Airantou

Who doesn't love harem anime? And an all female island this time, getting creative with it I see. This is basically a straight comedy, there's no serious drama or romance anywhere to be found. Just a hapless protagonist with a Marty McFly "chicken" kind of trigger for the word "impossible." His only character trait is that he will never give up or let you say something is impossible. Admirable but not exactly the sort of thing that's going to help him survive a harem anime full of just about every gal game trope under the sun.

Part of the fun of watching this was trying to ... guess each girl's character archetype just based on their appearance and first few seconds of screen time. You can make a game of it. This is the dumb one, the tsundere, the glasses girl, the reliable older sister, the imouto, and so on. My favorite conceptually is the large one. All these normal girls and you just have this one that's like 3 times the size of a normal human for no reason. It's great. The humor is on point and consistently subversive. Just when you think you've got the tropes figured out they'll switch it up on you. It's a wild ride and a good anime to watch with friends. Nothing too thought provoking or prolific in it's execution, but fun nonetheless. 7/10

I rarely care to go into detail for reviews however this one needs it this anime while not the worst was a cash grab trying to get on a hype train of harem anime back then it failed to do the manga justice in most manners character portrayals were altered or muddy at best they skipped large portions the the manga (that I think are needed to properly enjoy and understand where and what is going on) this is a very sad attempt at a very amazing manga if you want real details and to know what you missed check it out even as ... I write this I rather sure the author is still making

I am a petty person. When particular series gets on my nerves, I usually just drop it. If it's very annoying, I write a bad review for it. And, in some cases, to which Nagasarete Airantou belong, make me drop it, forget it for the next 2 years, then get reminded of it and get so annoyed at myself for wasting time with it that I write a bad review for it. Well, here goes my rant.
This series is mediocre. Honestly, if I wasn't sure this series doesn't deserve 5 ovarall score I would pick it just for the description of the mark, "mediocre".
It's ... not explicitly graphic with adult material.
As a result, this is as harem as real life would get when you ended up in all-female village. There's actually a girlfiend character here, too.
It's jokes are weak, and, what's worse,the storywriters don't understand the concept of freshness of a joke.
Characters are not deep (yes, they are not. fuck all of the other reviewers that wrote otherwise. I pray that you get married to a fucking Dynasty Warriors mob unit, if this is what you call deep.), they are a straightforward encyclopedia of cliches.
art is... well, it's appropiate for second-rate harem.

To sum it up, this is one of those shows that i'm angry about that they get 2 cour worth of episodes when there are much better (comedy, romance, ecchi, story, whatever-wise) series out there getting only 12 eps, or none at all.
