New Interest Stack
Interest StacksComedy series that don't take themselves seriously and/or have plenty of absurd, whimsical humor. Only anime that I have seen. Anime with a loner protagonist. Well, at least at the start since introducing new characters is unavoidable. I'm only including the ones where the solitary mindset has been somewhat emphasised. Characters in these anime suffer from extreme shyness or social anxiety. Their condition may be caused by past trauma, a mental disorder, or other ongoing problem or phobia that makes it difficult for them to connect with others; such as a fear of physical contact or an aversion to public speaking. Some characters may be fighting to overcome their anxiety - or at least power through it enough to get on with their daily lives - while others have given up trying to come out of their shell and feel isolated or unable to relate to other people. Some are in a grounded real world setting, some are in a fantasy setting, they all have a focus on day to day life and character interactions. This is a part of a series of stacks that are about artistic tendencies in anime (and that border the fine line between sophisticated and pretentious). A list of Romance/School focused animes. There are also some comedy animes, besides some drama but not a heavy one. Anime featuring dysfunctional protagonists who shut ins/NEETs look up to, in other words, anime that feature "sigma" men and women. These characters can be seen as positive role models to a certain extent, given their resistance to social norms and pressures. Flaws... don't go away easily for a lot of people. Whether you're trying to embrace fear, loss, or even trying to fit in when you're different in society really. The cure for so many things is connection and we may think "no one wants to connect with me" but all we need is just to find the right people who appreciate us. Someone who hears our voices, someone who appreciates our existence and accepts us for who we are A list of anime that deals with mental illness or other neurodivergence. It may be a main part of the show or just something a main character deals with that contributes to the plot in some way. This is going to be an incomplete stack as I have only seen around 400 shows and there are probably so many that I have missed. If you comment on my profile one that belongs and why, I would love to add it. |
