Kishin Douji Zenki

A demon protecting a priestess against his will but later start to accept her. Both Zenki in his sealed form and InuYasha have also the same voice actor. I think Inu Yasha are much better because the character development in Zenki almost standing still in the beginning of the serie at least. 

Similarities: -Monster unsealed in order to save people even though there is a risk that the monster will kill/eat everybody -Monster wants to kill and eat main character -The main character is very determined and willing to sacrifice themselves for others -the main character has a tool that controls the monster -The monster eventually warms up to the main character and protects them -both stories are about defeating Japanese/Chinese spirits that are doing evil -both monsters are afraid of said tools -stories passed down from generation to generation about said sealed monster Dissimilarities: -In Zenki, the main character is female while Ushio is male -the girl has a bracelet while the boy has a spear -people can see Zenki while people can't see Tora -zenki has a weakened form while Tora does not -(There's more but It's take forever to type them all...) Powerful beings from centuries ago are brought back to face imminent threats that could destroy their worlds. They are arrogant, egotistical and self-centered, they couldn't care less about what's going on, and would rather do as they please, but end up helping out of obligation. Sealed into the body of a child, both of them transform into adults in order to fight with the help of a teenage woman, who also keeps them in check whenever necessary. Sometimes they also handle sacred weapons that hold spirits within them. These fantasy shows have a similar vibe going on with the main characters and the general setup. They differ in their desires, with Dark Schneider being lustful for hot women, and Zenki being of the gluttonous kind regarding the Seeds of Evil. The settings are also different with Bastard!! being medieval fantasy-themed and Zenki taking inspiration from Hinduism while being set in modern times, though the cast gets sent to a feudal Japan era for a handful of episodes. Despite both having the Ecchi tag, Zenki is very tame regarding suggestive content, and even then it's only in the first few episodes, whereas Bastard!! does contain significant levels of nudity all the way through, especially in the 2020s anime. read more

Zenki and Bastard seem to have the same enitial storyline... A medevil sorcerer, protecting a girl, living, for the most part, in the body of a little boy. Both sorcerers seem to share a similar background (evil in their day) and the same quirky personality traits, both can return to their old form when very annoyed. If you like one, watch the other, they are so, so similar. 

Demon/god protects priest(ess). The demon gods both have different forms that they are in while fighting and day-to-day. In Shounen Onmyouji: Mokun(Guren) is "rescued" by Masahiro when Masahiro was a child because normally when children see him they cry. And of course we all know that when we make babies cry, you feel horrible. But Masahiro smiled at Guren. Then Guren(called Mo-Kun by Mashiro)vows to protect Masahiro at all costs. In Zenki: Zenki is the god protector of the world. But when his seal is broken and when Chiaki breaks his seal to save the world from peril, he isn't what he seems to be. He is rude, crude, and needs to have a second seal placed on him when he isn't battling because if he doesn't have that seal... He will try and kill Chiaki in order to be free.  read more
