New Interest Stack
Interest StacksThis list is dedicated to Pre-2000s anime that has a visually impactful animation, regardless of the year they release. This is a part of a series of stacks that are about artistic tendencies in anime (and that border the fine line between sophisticated and pretentious). Welcome to the MCU. As simple as the title suggest, a stack of anime that have a remake Series which aired on the Sci-fi/Syfy Channel's Ani-Monday block; Ani-Tuesday entries also included. Ordered alphabetically by their English titles. Tokyo Babylon and X Watch Order: What the title says, any anime which has over 1,000 fanfics on AO3. (Note: anime with 10,000+ fics are on their own list, so if you see anything that’s super popular that's missing, that’s why) And since the tagging system on AO3 is a bit inconsistent I made a few choices: did you realise that its almost impossible to buy and collect all of clamps manga without spending over a thousand pounds so its just easier to watch the animes? or are you just a clamp fan who wants to understand the crossover hell of cameos in tsubasa chronicle? here u go. Shoujo anime that may contain body horror, cosmic horror and various horror elements, serious topics such as rape and suicide. They might use different kind of storytellings most of other shoujo anime doesn't and more likely to have philosophy. Often well developed main characters, old and completed series. Anime released on VHS by Manga Entertainment/Manga Video in the UK. If you have any additions or corrections let me know. Releases which draw in meaningful ways from the named esoteric Hellenic spiritual tradition in their symbolism, themes, or both (Alchemy, Kabbalah, etc.). Most elements from the practice are fairly perennial in their implementation, and this is something up to interpretation, so I've tried to be strict without relying on explicit references. For a good shot of adrenaline to the retinas Every cinema or direct to video anime film that came out in 1996. Gothic art is an aesthetic movement which places heavy emphasis on an atmosphere of mystery, terror and haunting. It is commonly characterised by supernatural entities and occurrences, unsettling and macabre narratives, a preoccupation with the past, bleak and decaying landscapes, claustrophobic and oppressive atmospheres as well as heavy use of metaphors and psychological conflicts. The aim of this stack is to collect notable and defining works which incorporate the Gothic and/or elements of the genre in the medium of anime. A mix of 80's & 90's ova series that I have seen. |
