Hunter x Hunter: Original Video Animation

Both are dark, involve moves that cause instant heart failure, things like hostage situations and car chases, and characters that have to think very carefully before executing complex plans. 

I'm adding Hunter x Hunter OVA also because it's made by the same man/creator - Yoichiro Togashi - but because Yuu Yuu Hakusho doesn't have a "remake" version, so it's perfectly justified this way. Both have diferent way stories, Yu Yu Hakusho it's about Yusuke, a spirit detetive and Hunter x Hunter is about a boy named Gon and his quest to find his dad. (btw Yusuke it's perfectly similar to Gon - they have a distinct color which is green). Both have friends in their journey and both together have 3, Yusuke meets Kuwabara (he already knew this guy), Kurama and Hiei and Gon meets Killua, Leorio and Kurapika. Leorio being the Kuwabara style, his the taller guy, looks the more older aged guy and has a dream; Kurapika being the Kurama style, being the most intelligent and good looking; Killua being the Hiei style, the assassin type of guy, doesn't talks to much in the beginning of the series but then becomes kinda close to the main character; and finally Gon being the Yusuke style, the n#1 main character, the (basically) source of the story and the most overpower character of them all. Both shows have powers, each one about a certain aspect, Yu Yu Hakusho about martial arts and Hunter x Hunter about ther families (in Killua's case) or about Nen (overall); There are a few other characters that this two series are even more look alike but that's kinda "bad" for people that doesn't see the remake version of Hunter x Hunter or the completed series of Yu Yu Hakusho.
