Hishoka Drop The Animation

It's hard to put your finger on it but there are certain things a hentai series can do that can heavily elevate the strength of an already solid shmex scene. Resort's Boin shower shmex scene with Mika-San is in my eyes, one of the best in all of hentai. This same feeling I got from Resort Boin translates perfectly into the hentai series " Hishoka Drop The Animation", which I will be reviewing today!

Story: 8/10.
The story is a sexual fantasy come true, which can easily by determined by reading the short synopsis MAL uses for this hentai. The series has an abundance of shmex scenes ... and this really helps lay the groundwork for the show and sell this sexually suggestive premise the show has. The pacing is a bit off in that some shmex scenes last longer while others go by in the blink of an eye. Besides this my only real gripe with the show is the fact that this is only 1 episode. The manga is well over 20 chapters and it is easy to tell that they did not adapt everything, as the character "Enomoto, Saori" who seems to have build up regarding a shmex scene just gets tossed aside.

Art and Animation: 10/10.
The art is Hishoka Drop is absolutely gorgeous! The color pallets they ended up choosing really helps elevate all the scenes, especially what I consider to be the best one in the entire series and potentially in all of hentai, the reverse-rape shmex scene of Luna. The atmosphere the shmex scenes gives off is chilling yet arousing at the same time, the choice of color really adds to it along with just having some damn good drawings in motion. And as for animation, I don't think I need to say much. Stylistically everything in this episode was ahead of it's time for me, which is why it deserves my utmost praise.

Sound: 9/10.
The sound really delivers when it needs to as well. Some use of music was not to my interest but I loved all the VAs overall.

Character: 8/10.
Now we reach the hardest part to critique, the characters. On one note, all of these characters are fricking amazing. Kyoko and Hitomi are both sexually attractive in design and have very bold and outgoing personalities and most of all I was impressed with Luna's character. Luna has the most depth to her in terms of personalty, which boggles my mind to see her as the least liked out of the 4. And not to mention she is fucking hot af. Now my only real problem with this section is Saori. Saori seems like an interesting character with an attractive design, but that's what it seemed like. I can 100% say with confidence that she was wasted baggage for this episode. I wanted to know more about her (In both ways ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)) but the show simply rejected her which in turn made me lower my rating for this section. But just know that the characters are near perfection if we don't count the imperfected outlook of Saori.

Enjoyment: 8/10.
I really enjoyed Hishoka Drop. The art and animation kept me enticed all the way through and the characters are really phenomenal in this show. Some shmex scenes did not hit as much as the others like the Luna one, but overall, the hentai was one that I would not forgot.

Overall: 8/10.
Overall I would recommend it to all of you. The characters are great, the art and animation is so good that I think even today it could be considered top-notch. While the manga might be better I still highly recommend you check out this amazing hentai!
