Clannad ~AS~ may actually be slower-paced than H&C II, with both being peaceful slice-of-lifes tinged with despair. Very emotional stories, truly masterpieces.

They are both a slices of life anime that has a deep meaning in it and it has comedy and romance.

Kimi to Boku focuses on friendship instead of romance, but if you liked the theme of 'what it means to become an adult' being explored in Honey and Clover, you might as well like this title. (Especially s2, but it would be weird to recommend the continuation to the story) Characters in here are seemingly younger though, as they're high school students, so the growing up issues are approached from the younger point of view. Also, the soft touch to graphic style and story, the warm atmosphere as well as many sweet lead characters in Kimi to Boku also resemble H&C.

Working explores the side of Japan culture we don’t often see in anime, which is life after high school. Both shows share light undertones of the adult work culture in Japan. Honey and clover does explore relationships and heartache on a deeper level but for the adult slice of life anime they both mesh well

They are both coming of age stories. The protagonists are a group of art / design students. The stories focus on their love lifes. They both give of a nostalgic feeling about the struggles of youth.

Dealing with real life situation, these two has the same atmosphere. Both provide not only dramatic but also fun scenes, as well as lovable characters. Honey & Clover focuses on romantic relationships while Usagi Drop deals with relationships in a family. Both are a must-watch!

Also a very mature and rewarding love story with memorable characters (the comical Yotsuya bears a particular resemblance to Shinobu in H&C) - be warned that Maison Ikkoku's animation is dated (was produced in the 80's), but if you're willing to go back in time a bit, you'll find the reward is more than worth it!

both this two series are enjoyable to watch, great drama mixed with a great amount of comedy that will make you cry and laugh almost at the same time.

Both are follow ups to fantastic slice-of-life romance dramas. Highly recommended.
