Both are high school slice-of-life romances, though Boys Be is a bit more lighthearted than Clannad, which is the more dramatic of the two.

High school life, childhood memories and friendship. Both of them shares these terms and is indeed highly recommended.

Teenagers find romance among their classmates and people around them, and with each episode focusing on a different first love kind of match up, some of which go well, and others are played off as situational. Both these anime's compose of different characters involving their different sets of love stories. Both anime's have high school characters as well going to the very same school, at least majority does. These anime's are thirst quenchers for those romance-themed anime seekers.

In a few ways, these two series reminds me of one and another. Both Boys Be..and Amagami SS takes place at a school setting with themes of drama, comedy, and romance between various characters. While Amagami SS+ has one main male protagonist, Boys Be...features other male characters also with their own little romance adventures. Still, the drama is there. Both series also has emotional moments despite some of the comedy and also some background stories of the supporting characters explored in some episodes.

They share some commonalities where the characters not only explore love interests and sort out their own feelings for other characters, but also thoughtfully trying to find their own footing in life and dealing with it's challenges.

Both have multiple growing relationships.

Both series revolve mainly around high school life of a close group of male friends. Rather slow paced and episodic, both are heartwarming stories. The narration style is similar as well. Though Boys Be focuses on romance and has some mild ecchi hints here and there, while the protagonists of Kimi to Boku for the most part just muse about little things happening every day -- it is more about the friends' bonds with each other and not with female characters. (It has romance, but right now it's a background element rather than the main focus). There is a big time gap between when these  read more
